Great model and no batteries to buy
This is a good kit, loads of functions and best of all no power functions, don't get me wrong they are a good idea but I also like them to be optional, I'm a bit of a purist and like my Lego without them. This is a fairly standard car build apart from the snow tracks which were a complex joy to build.I have to say I have spent alot of time on this build more than I expected to be honest, it doesn't have a great number of sub assemblies, everything is almost built onto the vehicle and built from the middle outwards. The only criticism I have is the number of stickers, I hate applying them, if you get them wrong they look silly and this has loads, personally I would prefer to pay more and get printed elements, particularly in the models case as the stickers are kind of important to the look of the model.

Great set
Great model. Having built Lego since I was a teenager the models are getting better and better. This is a decent sized model with brilliant features. The only downside is you have to lay all the pieces out at once to search for what you need as they haven't numbered the bags on this set as per other sets. However we use a table and shot glasses to keep all the small bits so nothing gets lost and it's easier to search through.

This Lego set was a challenge. It was well explained in general but the lack of bag numbers meant that we spent hours sorting the pieces into colour codes to help make our lives easier. This was a mammoth build but my son loves it.

very boring, spend more time looking for the pieces then building!
Boring... I am sure all technic lego is the same so its just not this product!this is the first technic set i have bought since i was young (not anymore!) i have been building a lot of random large sets but obviously aimed at young children, this aimed at older people and i find it very tedious i have had it for a few months no and still havent finished and dont see myself finishing it anytime soon, which i need to as i like to build then sell! Also like so many other people comment on the fact that the pieces are in many bags which are not numbered so you end up spending longer finding the pieces needed rather then building!I wont be buying another technic anytime soon.

Bellissimo!

Tobi

Great for kids and possibly adults
Great set for a 6yo but prob. a bit older would be easier to build, he made 4 mistakes and I have to say, so would I have done because some of the colours in the instructions are difficult to decipher (dark grey vs almost dark grey ...?) and some of the positions were tricky. Only bad thing really is that the built model is not tough enough to withstand hard play, e.g jumping or even bashing about the floor. It is so heavy the wheels suffer, the axles and so on, and there is breakage. Have not built the second model but that is surely going to be a fantastic multi-day build for a (now 7yo) kid. Great value! Also looks great.
