Great Flash cards. Bought these in the last few weeks leading up to my child's 11 Plus test. We wanted to expand his vocabulary to help with the many difficult words thrown at chidlren in the 11 Plus test. The cards are well made and are very portable. We even used them in the car on the way to Belgium. They include a ring onto which the learned cards can be put so that you can go back and easily review the cards you have already gone through. Each card gives synonyms and antonyms which is great. I believe ensuring your child knows most if not all of the words in this pack of flash cards will greatly increase their chances of doing better in the English parts of the 11 plus. I'm even learning too....Conflagration? Nope, me neither....a large destructive fire!!!

These were recommended to me and I have to say, I'm really impressed. The cards are smaller than I imagined but that's great because they are the perfect size. They come with a hole punched and a metal hoop.I take 10 at a time, put them in the loop and my daughter carries them round with her so she can look through them whenever she has a spare 5 mins. Good range of words, easy to use and for kids to learn from. Would recommend.

Really good set of vocabulary flash cards with synonyms and antonyms with meanings. It is a good way of learning new words and its great for when the kids are bored on long distance journeys. My children have been able to learn many new words using these flash cards and these stay in his memory as its a fun, new and unique way of learning new words.We play games like making sentences which contain these words, memory games etc. I feel I don't have to force him to learn new words. If he comes across other new words, he writes them down in the blank cards provided. I fully recommend this product to other parents who want their children to improve their vocabulary.

These flash cards come with 2 metal key chain hoops and some blank cards. There is also a mastered card section at the back of the box. I have put the blank cards on 1 ring and we write new words my son comes across and doesn't understand on them. And on the other ring we put the first 20 cards from the set, when my son has learnt the cards we put these in the mastered section and put the next 20 cards on the ring to learn.The cards are set out well and have good sentence examples for each word to aid understanding. My son is learning them very quickly and also putting the language learnt into everyday life.

These cards are very helpful - we probably should have purchased them before now, as we only have four weeks until the big test. Although, as with our other two daughters, we did the minimum amount of tutoring with them, as we felt they would struggle at a Grammar school if they were tutored too much - which seemed to work and they both passed. It is now a completely different exam, so we thought a little help on the vocab front might be useful. She hates getting them out, but they are very good, there is a sentence shown on each double sided card which uses the word and the antonyms and synonyms (similar and opposite words) are listed too. Would recommend.Roll on mid-Sept when it's all over and done with.. never again!

I recently bought a set of these cards for my son, & was very impressed.His vocabulary has expanded by using them.In terms of improvement, maybe another set of cards to buy ? There was a great selection of cards / words on the box, designed well as numbered & great content, but we have come across more words / vocabulary in books which also needs to be learnt for the 11+ (as it is beyond KS2 level). It would be great if there was a 2nd set of cards to purchase in order up do this & cover even more ground.

I expected the cards to be bigger than they are.
