Q: Hi, can someone kindly tell me what is the minimum and maximum timer settings are for this fan? Thank you

The timer can be adjusted between 30 seconds and 30 minutes with a factory setting of 15 minutes.

Q: does the unit come on automatically when detecting steam?

Comes on for no reason then won't go off for hours if at all. Have to switch off power to stop it. Dealer was useless and Expelair exchanged but replacement was just as bad. Dumped it and bought a different make as so many reviews saying same issue with this extractor

Q: If my electrical wiring is on the left-hand of my extractor hole, can the unit be fitted upside down to accommodate? Or will writing be upside down?

Yes I've had to install mine upside down aswell and yes the writing is upside down but I've removed the writing so it would be blank
