One of the best measures about
Absolutely love this tape measure, fantastic when it comes to measuring pretty much anything but as for it’s intended use, cutting drywall or measuring between beams this come is very handy and performs extremely well. This is my 2nd purchase of the 3m version as offers a powerful tool in a small package. UK sizing of 2.4m means this handy 3m version is fantastic and can measure most lengths without the need for its 6m big brother. It also has a nice chunky tape stop release on the front, where most measures get you to lock to hold the measure, this auto locks, very well I might add and then press to release the tape instead. Most measures loose there locking ability through time and use but this works just as well day one after 7 years of use. The only reason I’m buying a new one is that my partner liked it that much it’s now in her tool collection instead. Would highly recommend for professionals and DIYers alike. I have several different tape measure for different uses but this is my most frequently picked tool, especially for accurate and intricate measuring. For the price you won’t get much better value. Pocket friendly, only thing I could fault is no belt clip. The tool has a nice black finish, has both internal and external measures to accommodate the tail along with the ability to measure angles which is fantastic for measuring and plotting curves on timber and flooring. It also has an inch measure on the back as the measure can be wrapped around cylindrical objects with ease. This is a one of my most reliable tools and I don’t go anywhere without this or it’s smaller 2m brother. You can’t go wrong with this tool.

Amazing - well worth the price.
Wow - what a lovely bit of kit! I was uncertain what this tape would offer over my usual Axminster tapes, but I have been delighted with it. The little 'scratcher' at the reel end makes a good little mark on timber, which saves marking a line with a pencil, and the measurement is perfect. There is a little steel pointer above the tape - it is very easy to extend the tape to your desired measurement, align it with this pointer and make a measurement with the scratcher. The hook at the end of the tape is strong and accurate, and the lock is very positive. The sprung section on the reverse of the reel has proved very useful for measuring internal distances, as long as you remember to add 100mm to the reading you obtain. This is a precision tape measure and not surrounded by rubber armour as some are. There is no belt clip or lanyard, but these serve to keep it small and compact. This is very much my 'best' tape measure, and I simply wouldn't be without it.

Never going back
I thought this might be a bit of a good idea badly implemented as so many things are, but this thing is no gimmick, it's how all tapes should be made. Incredibly accurate and as someone who can't remember numbers for more than a few seconds without singing them out loud, transferring and marking measurements is so quick and spot on. The marking points are sharp to allow you to mark without having to use a pencil etc. Using it to transfer exact studwall cavity measurements to Kingspan is a game changer. Pull the tape out from the top so you don't hurt your fingers on the marking edge, it's quite simple, lol.

Material quality is not great
Although this has all the features I wanted and will be great for marking out circles and measuring the circumference of pipes etc, it does not seem to be made of very robust materials so I’m not sure how long it will last, at that price I would expect a more robust casing at least. I have tape measure’s that I bought 20 years ago that can still be bought for around £5 that have stood the test of time and although this has special features, I don’t think this will.

Indispensable—the best tape measure I have ever owned
Like another reviewer, I saw this on Peter Millard's 10 Minute Workshop YouTube channel.I don't really have anything to add to the other five star reviews, it is a brilliant idea very well executed:—Scribing points take away the inaccuracy of marking with a pencil or separate scribe;—The tape lock is automatic on release so no pushing down on a locking button that could result in the tape moving;—The flip out tab makes accurate measurements between solid objects a breeze;—The diameter measure is very useful for plumbing work, given the plethora of sizes for plastic fitting.

Much more than it appears
I was switched on to this fantastic little tape measure from Peter Millard's 10 Minute Workshop YouTube channel. In a photo it's fairly unremarkable looking but when it arrived I could feel the quality of the build & appreciate the innovation. I'll still use my chunky Stanley Fatmax tapemeasures for outdoors work & on site but for constructing cabinets & furniature in the workshop, the Hultafors will be my go to for accuracy.Might have to invest in the 6m one to go in my mobile toolbag as I think the features will be really helpful for installs too.

Phenomenal. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Love these little tapes, they’re absolutely brilliant.Makes measuring and marking a pleasure. Internal measuring and marking with the tape itself makes everything go especially smoothly.I’m a pretty harsh reviewer but I truly cannot fault these. I would like to be able to get an all metal version but it really isn’t necessary. I’ve dropped these many times, had one crushed by a heavy toolbox and never had any noticeable damage to the plastic housing.I also recommend these more strongly for anyone with poor eyesight. My eyes are horrendous even with glasses. The white tape (rather than the more standard yellow) contrasts more with the ink so makes it more easily readable.
