Dose this remove powder coating from brake calipers?

Powder coat paint is pretty hard to remove using paint stripper but as a paint sprayer myself, I found by soaking powder coated parts in 2k paint thinners overnight seems to do a better job than the paint stripper.

Is it ok for airfix models

I use it on my models all the time and it is okay, I give it light coats it dries fairly quick

Can you use over vinyl covering?

It would cover ok but not sure how it would hold up as vinyl is not as rigid as metal, etc. I've used it on metal and it is very durable.

Is this suitable for polypropylene? If so, does the surface have to be flame treated first?

generally speaking you always need an adhestion promoter for PP. You can do it without and it may last but it will always be inferior.
