Does it have a wider padded shoulder pad piece on the strap ?

No this strap does not have a pad but you can get Velcro straps for use on car seat belts (look on Amazon for them) which give a bit of padding and they let the guitar strap slide through as the pad stays on your shoulder. I hope this is of some help.

What is 6.35 cm in inches

Allegedely 2 1/2 inches. I sent mine back as it didn't measure this wide when I got it. I also prefer a smoother texture to the inner surface. Otherwise, quite a nice strap. Soft leather with strap locks.

I just got the strap for my baby Taylor electric acoustic and it doesn’t seem to fit on the jack end, any ideas how to make it work?

If the jack/strap pin is larger than a standard strap button, the hole in the strap buckle may not be big enough. I've had the same issue with one of my guitars to which I fitted an under-bridge pickup: the strap does not fit on the larger strap button. You might have to use a conventional leather strap with a keyhole slot instead.
