Bosch 06032A2070 Cordless Hot Glue Gun GluePen (Micro USB Charger, 4 x Ultrapower Glue Sticks, 3.6 V Cardboard Box)

Having owned a cordless glue gun before I was sceptical of the ability of this device. However I can say that I am more than impressed by every aspect of it.The glue pen itself feels ergonomic, well built and constructed to a quality you’d expect from Bosch.The pen charges via micro USB and this avoids relying on specific chargers and cables. There is an included micro USB charger in the box for convenience.The glue pen heats up to temperature in super fast time with it being ready to use in about 15 seconds, making one off tasks much less onerous.The power on and off is a simple single long press on the power butting and status is indicated via a multi colour LED for feedback.As with all glue guns there is a potential for stringy glue to seep from the nozzle when placed down for a time when turned on, however this can be avoided by turning the glue pen off between tasks without issue as the heat up time is so fast.I’ve been using this on and off for simple DIY tasks for the past 6 months and I love it. The uses are endless, from rescuing flat packed furniture fixings where there are stripped threads to attaching cables to walls / units so they are hidden.Overall I can totally recommend this as a useful addition to any toolbox or craft kit.

Been using this glue gun for a while now (since March 2016), while it does dribble a little bit (honestly just have a wet wipe handy, also helps to clean what you are glueing anyway and any run off), I've found this things speed, small size and wireless nature more than makes up for any inconvenience a bit of overflow causes.This really does heat up in about 20 seconds, meaning its great for on the spot jobs, and the fact that it uses lithium iron batteries means that it will hold a charge for months without issue (also its micro usb plug means you're almost certain to own hundreds of the cables anyway).I would say to get some of the 'milky' glue sticks to go with it, as they are a fair amount stronger.As mentioned above, this thing does dribble a bit, not a stupid amount, and certainly not to the point I've ever burnt myself with it, just if I set it down while I'm working, it could dribble onto the surface its on (though this would probably take a good 30-40 seconds), simple answer to this is just to turn it off the moment you stop using it, and at the speed it turns on again, I don't consider this an issue, and really its probably just a good idea to do that anyway to save battery, I should also mention that most of the wired glue guns I've had have done exactly the same thing, some much worse than this.Otherwise, the thing is very light, well built (entirely of plastic), with a nice 'trigger' that gives plenty of control and feedback over how much glue you apply to something. Big green light to show you what its doing and when its ready to go.That's about it really, if you are going to be using this thing everyday or as part of your job, I'd say get a good mains powered one (though I think this is true for nearly all wireless tools), if on the other hand you simply need this as a 'as and when' kind of tool, I can not recommend it enough, its incredibly small so takes up almost no space in a tool box, doesn't require any special charger (it has one, but again, micro usb, so a phone charger will work fine, and is what I've been using with mine), plus you can always get a portable phone battery bank to greatly extend its run time.All in all, very happy with this product and so far, no issues.Side note, I have not tried the 3rd party glue sticks with this thing, so I can not comment on how well they will work with it, I got this on sale (at under £20, I'm very happy with it) and got a selection of transparent and milky glue sticks to go with it.

This glue gun heats up quickly, and has never dripped for me. I've used it countless times to fix all sorts of things from lampshades to boxes.Four glue sticks are included. Their size isn't the same as others I've used, which you might want to consider.Charging is done via a rather outdated, Micro USB socket. But it works fine, and you don't need to charge often, so its not a huge issue. You need to plug it into your own charger though using the supplied USB-A cable.Highly recommended as its significantly more useful without needing a power cord. You can really get into tight places to use it.

Ultimately this is a really great glue glue gun, heats up super fast and gets the job done. The only reason i've given 4 stars and not 5, is because the retraction, that gives the feature "without the annoying, unwanted drips" doesn't actually do anything. It oozes just like any regular glue gun and still drips. But in terms of usage etc, it's still 10x better and easier than using a corded one for my usage needs. I would still highly recommend this item, but with a caution that the "unwanted drips" it proclaims to feature is not the case. It still drips!
