HOZELOCK - Flat and Spiral Pipe Adapter : Transform a Piece of Pipe into a Female Fitting [2170P9000]

The item was ok but unfortunately not the one for my hose , the connection was to big for my hose

allways worth. paying extra for quality.

I bought this for a very specific scenario, which it turned out perfect for...I have a Hozelock automatic watering kit with a 'Select' timer unit.The timer only has connectors to fit a male threaded water tap (like more outside taps come with).I do plan to have an outside tap fitted, but I didn't have time to get it done before going away for a 2 week trip.So as a temporary solution I needed to connect the timer to the tap in our utility room sink and run the hose through an unused tumble dryer air vent out to the greenhouse just outside.Problem was that the sink has a mixer tap.I already use this tap with my Hozelock garden hose however and leave a Hozelock 'mixer tap to quicklock' connector attached for easy connection of the hose.So I need an adapter to fit the quicklock (bib style) attachment on the mixer tap at one end and the female screw fitting of the automatic timer at the other.I've got a box full of every Hozelock connector imaginable apparently, apart from one to make this connection, so was very pleased to find that such a connector does exist and was ablvaulable on Amazon.Fits perfectly and solved the puzzle.

Well made, perfect for my needs

As advertised

You pay a price premium for Hozelock knowing that you'll get a leakproof connection. Mine isn't - but since the connection is to a water-barrel which won't have a tap made by Hozelock I have to assume that the problem is the tap. BUT this part was super expensive and isn't super compatible so I can't get excited about it.If I wanted vague leaky connections I could save a lot of money.
