Followed instructions and took up any slack that was showing. Put it into my sharp viewcam. Jammed straight away, had a job getting it back out. The white tape which is like a thin paper broke. Took cassette apart and it also had a broken plastic pin inside. Interesting that there is a no return policy due to flammable liquid. But it's okay for them to send it to us.Poor quality. I would advise not to buy based on my experience.

I’ve been digitising old 8mm videos recently and decided to clean the heads. Looking for a suitable cleaning tape lead me to this one, and it’s working great for me.Good instructions with it, just follow them and you’ll not go wrong

Just useless. Followed instructions including the ensuring the correct tension suggested upon arrival. My tapes played in the camcorder but clear signs of head needing cleaning. When I put the cleaning tape into the camcorder, it loaded and transported the cleaning tape to the drum but then nothing...... Took it out and tried with an 8mm video tape and it worked (ran thru as normal). Tried the cleaning tape several times.....nothing. Don’t waste your time and money.

I was hesitant to buy this, having read other reviews and reading that tape cleaning cassettes are a waste of time. I was also wondering whether to buy Sony's own cleaner which doesn't use fluid.I'm glad I bought this one! I have an old Sony Digital 8 camcorder which wasn't playing any tapes at all - well, the tape was loading and "playing" but no picture or sound. Just either snow or a blue screen.I put this tape in and, at first, the camcorder errors and I had to eject and re-insert. After a couple of times, it did play. I waited a couple of minutes for any solution to evaporate off the internal tape path and I started to get an image! It had big grey bands across the image and so, wasn't perfect.Another two times of using the cleaning cassette brought this camcorder back to playing tapes perfectly. It's stopped me from having to throw away this camcorder and buying a secondhand one. Very happy!
