Works great
Works exactly as described and not difficult to use. I had clear coat scratches that did not reach the paint but were still deep. I followed the steps exactly and this kit completely removed them and you could not see them from any angle.

This is a great product, but it requires education and attention to detail for a successful repair. I suspect many of the negative reviews are from expectations of a miracle product that requires no effort. You need to watch a few youtube videos on scratch repair before attempting to use this product.I had 4 inch gashes in my new car from the garage door closing on it. The scratches were deep, almost to metal, and very narrow (<2mm). I setup a work light and a magnifying glass for inspection of the repair.1) Clean the area with paint prep and apply touch up paint from the dealer inside the scratch. Wait overnight. Repeat if not good coverage.2) Apply clear coat inside the scratch. Reapply multiple clear coat layers until running your nail on the scratch you feel a bump from the clear coat instead of your nail catching the in scratch. Wait 1 Hr between clear coat applications. Wait overnight after the last clear coat application.3) Use the #2,3 & 4 wet sanding pads in order. I had to use #2 multiple times until the magnifying lens showed that I had removed the clear coat bump and the surface was perfectly flat. I also reduced the work area by cutting down the pads until they were only slightly bigger than the scratch. This reduces the sanded area to just around the scratch, instead of the 2 inches wide in the instructions. #2 required some finger pressure to remove the bump. The last pads only light finger pressure.4) After one application of the clarifying compound, I used my orbital buffer and polished the sanded area with Meguiars Ultimate Compound to a shine. The scratch is not invisible, but it is hard to see and is easily missed. Great product.

It works!
I bought this to fix some small scratches on the back of my car caused by the garage door closing on it accidentally. I didn't have high hopes that it would cover the scratches, but to my surprise it did! I followed all directions exactly, and although it doesn't look 100% like it did, it did an amazing job, and no one else would ever know that the scratches had ever been there. Just make sure you follow the directions exactly, and it really works well!

works to some extent
minor scratches were removed but deeper ones were not. It also left micro marring/round marks when used with a drill polisher.

Do not use the pads.
The pads severely damaged my truck. There is significant scratches all over the spots I applied the pads. Do not use them.

For under $20 - you can fix or greatly reduce paint scratches
Used this product based on customer reviews. I had 5-6 deep scratches on the side of my rear plastic bumper. I used the kit and followed the instructions for deep scratches except I didn't use the clear coat pen to fill deep grooves. I just started with the paint clarifier. Then moved to using spray lubricant, rub 20x w #1 pad, spray lubricant, rub 20x w #2 pad, spray lubricant, rub 20x w #3 pad, spray lubricant, rub 20x w #4 pad. Then I dried the area and finished with paint clarifier. There was a definite improvement but I wasn't satisfied with the first result. So I repeated the same process over again a second time. It showed more improvement. So I repeated the process a 3rd time and more improvements showed up. I was running out of spray lubricant so I couldn't do a 4th procedure which I'm confident would yield near perfect results. I'm happy with the current result since a casual glance from a distance of 3-5 ft is practically imperceptible to passer-by. For the area where paint was chipped off, I will need to order touch up paint to fix up those spots. But overall, I'm very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.One thing you will need to purchase is microfiber cloth (from local autoshop store) to rub paint clarifier and another one to dry/clean the area.

Astounding!
I was very skeptical about using this on a new (and by new, I mean a 2003 that my family just bought) Porsche. Someone had opened their door into my door and left a nice scratch on it. Long story short, I'm freaking out so I call the cops while the person's car is still there and they say there isn't much they can do.Some googling turned me to this product. I tried things like Nu Scratch Doctor and that didn't do it. I wasn't prepared to wet sand a nice pristine condition paint job but I decided it was best to try to remove the scratch. After following the written instructions VERY carefully, everything ended up working out great! At first it looked as though my scratch was into the metal, because the clear coat pen didn't fill it in as well, but after doing the sanding and polishing, it looked just fine! It's VERY important to rub the paint polish on multiple times when you get to that step. It really makes a difference when you do it a few times. There will be a sort of glare however on the car where you were sanding. I was lucky that I made the width of my work area about a half of an inch. I apply A nice carnauba wax and buffed it out and it appears to have diminished the glare from the work area. I'll have to check in better daylight tomorrow.Overall though, it's way better than what it was before! It's making me want to start going through and fixing every chip on the car!

WOW! This really worked!!!
I had scratches all around my door handles that I have no idea how they got there. But they bothered me enough to look into scratch removers. I read that Turtle Wax Premium Scratch Remover Kit worked and was the best value for the money, so I bought it and finally got around to trying it. WOW!! It was easy, quick and worked perfectly!!! All signs of all those scratches are gone after one simple application of the Paint Clarifying Compound! I didn't need to use the more intense items in the kit, this was enough to get the job done. At first it didn't seem to be working, and then, poof! Gone scratches, gone!
