Rita Farhi Traditional Almond Nougat in a Gift Jar - 500 g - Soft Nougat with Almonds

Great taste - great service

I purchased this item a couple of weeks ago and it was £17. I just went to reorder and shockingly it’s doubled in price and is now the best part of £40! It’s nice nougat but not £40 nice in my opinion - it’s just a good standard, soft nougat. The kind I had as a child. I wanted to contact the seller to see if the price listing was correct but I was unable to.

I like the taste and texture of these "Rita Farhi Traditional Almond Nougat in a Gift Jar - 500 g - Soft Nougat with Almonds"The only problem, though, is that the lower you go down the likely you will find bits and smaller pieces of these square nougats, which is unfair because I did pay for full squares, not for bits and smaller pieces of it.This problem also leads to being unable to serve them to one's guests as such bits and smaller pieces are not presentable at all.

This is a good product for people who do not eat chocolate. It is moist and full of flavor which is good. I get this for a friend who says it is the best nougat she has had and enjoys it, so I know which one to get her.

This tastes exactly as traditional nougat does! Those complaining about the taste clearly are not fans of nougat; it's sensible to know exactly what you want before taking the plunge. This nougat is soft, but as with all good nougat it feels a little hard just as you bite it and then turns to soft as you eat. The jar is plastic not glass, and does come with the ribbon exactly as shown in the image. I would buy this again - did not last long!

Will update the review once it has been eaten. It is a gift. Mostly bought on the basis of the picture which shows a nice narrow jar. The product that comes is 500g as the text says but shorter, dumpier than the photo which is because it shows a 700g jar.
