Affordable and functional pack of ten Class 2 K-type thermocouples
These 10 k-type thermocouples arrived individually sealed into their own pouches and placed into a larger sealed plastic bag that did the job just fine. The listing makes no mention of what tolerance class these thermocouples are but the individual pouches do say that they’re supposedly accurate to ±2.5°C or ±0.75% for readings below 400c, which would make these a Class 2 tolerance thermocouple. I took that with a grain of salt at first but after testing all of them against my other K-type thermocouples they’re very consistent and well within that tolerance claim. It was by no means a scientific test but I set them all up in the same way and compared them using a dual-channel thermometer and they were all within a degree of each other. Which is plenty good enough for my needs for general purpose temperature monitoring. The build quality on them is nothing special, they’re just a generic fibreglass sheathed thermocouple with an exposed welded bead tip, but all ten of them worked as expected when they were plugged into my generic thermocouple. My only comment on the way they’re built is that the insulation ends a bit sooner than other K-type thermocouples, meaning the tip may be susceptible to damage, but they’ve held up just fine for me so far. After testing them I moved onto using them for my intended purpose, which was for monitoring the temperature of the air inside a few different projects, specifically a PCB reflow oven, a few 3D printers and a filament dryer. Until now, I've just been using the same two thermocouples and shifting them between each thing as needed, but with these I've been able to dedicate one or two to each purpose and quickly check them without having to mess with the thermocouples. At £14.35 for a pack of ten they’re one of the better value options on Amazon at the time of writing, so I’ve got no issues recommending them if you’re after some generic k-type sensors.

Nothing lasts for ever, so spares are good.
Why did you choose this product over others?:This is a set of 10 type K thermocouples that have the standard small connector, a fibreglass heat proof cover over the two wires. The weld is extended 10mm from the end of the fibreglass, this is more than many which only have the welded bead exposed, since this is where the measurement comes from. This means that there is a slightly higher risk of shorts to other equipment from the exposed wire. I tested a number of the thermocouples into the same meter and into the same free air, which had no cross-winds or variance. I allowed 30 seconds for each probe to settle and I noted 1.5 degrees of variance across the measurements between probes. This is in line with the typical tolerances for Type K thermocouples. All measurements were in the same 1.5 degree range to my existing probe.Having them provided in a bag of 10 is good, since all thermocouples tend to have the weld break over time, which renders them useless and needing replacement. Considering the price and quantity, this is good value for money.
