I wish I’d known about keratin treatments in the past. The process, I had a friend put the treatment in my hair to ensure each section was fully saturated and just so you know it can tangle the hair so care is needed, I rinsed out the product by myself and dried and straightened it. My hair afterwards was pretty tangly, it doesn’t normally so I hoped it was just because this product was still in my hair. I kept my hair dry for the next 5 days, anytime it got wet I dried and straightened again, I didn’t put my hair up or put it behind my ears.The result, once I washed my hair it dried super quick and straightened well and no longer felt dry or tangly. I was on holiday with humidity and my hair stayed perfect for the duration. I normally have to use all the products and it will still fuzz up but none of that. When my hair got wet and dried on its own it was still wavy but not fuzzy. When I’d straighten it the hair stayed that way. Unbelievable!I recommend this highly, I was worried from people’s reviews especially as I suffered from substantial hair loss over Covid and worried it would ruin my hair after taking that long to grow back. I needn’t be worried as it felt funny until the product was fully washed out but afterwards I had the hair of my dreams for holiday.It’s been a month and my hair has been more manageable after the gym and being caught in a few rain showers. I’ve been using a sulphate free shampoo which seems to be working to keep the keratin on the hair

I do hope the retailer or GK professional do read this review.I anticipate that I used the GK Resistant treatment in the past and yes, it did smell toxic, and yes it contained formaldehyde or ingredients that with the heath released it. However, that product was working on different kinds of hair without damaging the colour at all. I have contacted the professional team before proceeding with the use and they said not to use it together with hair colour as it would have enhanced the colour of at least 2 tones, something that you can see in the instructions but it is not clearly stated that you must wait to week. Instead the information sheet and videos online simply suggest to wait for at least two weeks, as if it not really mandatory. While talking to them they told me not to use the Ph shampoo if I wanted to do colour and treatment on the same day (something clients normally want, as they are not really happy to come twice). However, for peace of mind I did wait two weeks. I tested it on my hair first, where I have a highly vibrant ginger Wella Koleston professional colour. Giving that it's quite rich in red pigment I was sort of scared to try it without waiting. I followed all the passages illustrated and I rinsed my hair profusely before proceeding with blow dry. I was going to use the shampoo (colour protector) before drying up, as recommended, but I immediately saw the colour had already changed. My hair was a dull blondish greenish colour. I sadly proceeded with a partial blow dry to see that red was completely gone from my hair. Something that does not happen ever without bleaching. I guess that who tried red colours for at least a year know perfectly well that it is impossible to get rid of it without bleaching the hair or waiting for them to regrown. I thus decided to dye my hair immediately, despite the fact the professional team advised not to do it as it would have been pointless. Since I was scared I proceeded in a different way from the usual dying process.Procedure to fix red colours or similar types of colours:Immediately dye your hair using just the colour with a dash of red pigment (I would say 30-35%). Do not use oxygen but use water instead and do not put the colour at the top of the head as, if you proceeded according to GK instruction you shouldn't have applied The Best on the scalp but a quarter of an inch from it. In the same way you need to put the colour. Massage a lot and leave on for about 15 minutes - no more, as the red pigment is really strong. Wash with balancing shampoo (if you care to save the treatment, which anyhow I think is lost) and then proceed with blow dry. I have not applied any conditioner as I was not sure this would have completely blown away the treatment.Result:I did sort of save my hair colour, which is lighter but still my ginger tone and not blond or green. The treatment results are not noticeable much, though. Not sure if it is because I have re-dyed my hair. To be fair, even after the first blow dry my hair was still pretty dry and not soft at all.It is a miracle I still have my hair on. Also cause maybe I avoided using oxygen. Not sure what it would have happened instead.Considerations:Even if this product might have worked if I did not have re-dyed my hair immediately I would not recommend it to anybody. I does completely alter your hair colour even if you wait two weeks. I tried on another hairdresser (she had chocolate dye on her hair and it became blondish too).

Great product. I have thick Afro-Caribbean hair and although i didn't want my hair straight (just looser curls) it is great for both. So usually when i straighten my hair it holds for about a 1/2 days, now when i straighten my hair it lasts until i wash it. When i wash my hair my curls are looser with less frizz and much more manageable. It's been 2 months since i had the treatment and the effects of the treatment are still there. the only thing i would mention is that i straightened my hair with the product in (the instructions say you should was it off and then straighten) but at my hair is sooo thick i felt i needed more drastic measures. Overall i think its great and i will definitely repurchase.

This is a bit pricey but it is really good and I think worth the money and I have purchased this 3 times. A little goes a long way and so when you consider this, it is not so bad and worth the treat. I am 60 years old and my hair is course, dry and wavy and this is an excellent product.

I am wary to use unsure if tampered with apologies but it's so expensive I was feeling lil' bit insecure as to whether it's been replaced or else tampered with??

I have very course long hair and the 100ml tube was literally only just enough. It took 4 hours ladies, from start to finish. I used half a tube at a time so I could make sure I properly rationed the cream. I left it on for an hour and fifteen minutes and the results are better than when I go to the salon. I didn’t start an inch from the scalp, as directed, the roots are the bit that needs doing the most! I applied the treatment from the very bottom of the roots and nothing bad happened.Excellent.
