CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Angle Grinder, 4-1/2 inch, Bare Tool Only (CMCG451B)

Used an .030" diamond cutting blade to cut some lengthwise slots in a .060" square metal tube. Was very easy to maneuver and cut well. Plenty of power.

Has plenty of power to cut through rebar or grind the mushroom head off after they’ve been driven into the ground. The blade that comes with it is thick, which is good for grinding, but I had to buy a thinner blade for cutting.

I bought this grinder to use with my All American blade sharpener. It will do a great job

I read many reviews on the Craftsman grinders. If you are considering a Craftsman Grinder, I would only choose this one, the brushless grinder. I had to cut and grind several 3/16" brackets. The grinder will consume a 4Ah battery within minutes of constant grinding or cutting use. I used two 4Ah batteries and cut through six to eight 3/16" thick metal brackets. I tested the grinders capabilities many times, bearing down while grinding some of the metal. The grinder will stop if the cutter disc get caught or you bear down on the grinder too much; overall, I was rather impressed with the grinder's ability to cut and grind for an electric grinder. Now if Craftsman can focus on making the grinder more battery efficient. In the meantime, I will order another 4Ah battery.

And when my husband is happy, I’m happy because that man is the love of my life and he’s a fantastic carpenter. He’s very particular about his tools and he said this one was the one he had to have so he’s very pleased with it.

I used it to cut 1/2" rebar and it did great. I was surprised. I dont care for battery powered tools but they are handy

I was so tickled pink with this I bought a second one. Make sure you use the 4Ah battery.
