Good little bell for the price which, on a dry day, puts out a decent bit of sound. The only people who tend not to hear me coming are folk who have earphones in. The majority of people are alerted to my presence with no issue. But, one problem I do have is that the bell isn't as loud on a wet day. The sound is dulled for some reason which makes cycling in the rain a slight issue as it's not as easy to alert other people to my presence.

I bought this to replace the one that came with my bike, 'cos it simply wasn't loud enough to be of any real use. This bell has a piercingly loud (even grabbed a driver's attention being a d**k, closing me down in heavy traffic!) sound, and will shift pedestrians off your cycle path from an impressive distance, long before you have to scream or throw things at the dawdling creatures!Unless you're going to spend a lot more money, there's no better bell in my opinion, this does exactly what it's supposed to, but better than you expected! Get these for your kids bikes, get 'em for your own. I for one, am very happy with this product. I was going to buy an expensive one, come pay day, but honestly, I don't feel I need to.

Everyone always gives out about cyclists, yet I often feel as if I'm invisible to careless pedestrians who take the whole path or occupy the cycle lane instead of staying in their designated areas. So, after my not so athletic partner fell on my bike while trying to clean the window behind it and breaking my old bell, I decided to buy this one. It's loud, solid and easy to install. And quite cheap too.

After reading some of the other reviews I thought I’d give this a try, when it arrived I was initially impressed with the build quality of this bell and it is good and loud but that’s where the praise ends I’m afraid, when it came to fitting it I discovered that the little square nut that holds the little machine screw in place had fallen out which made the bell useless, the only way I could rectify this issue was to use another bigger threaded machine screw and tighten it into the body and cut a new thread, anyway it was a faff and one that should not be necessary if the square nut had been fitted correctly, I only found the nut as it’d fallen out onto my workshop floor but it was that small I didn’t notice it until I’d finished fitting the bell, if I’d have done this job outside on grass the nut would have been lost, I’d recommend this bell but make sure you take care of the tiny nut.

This is the good design for larger bars in that you can remove the insert and it has the larger radius that many bells don't have.I've knocked one star off though the "hammer" is in a fixed position. I've got this on drop bars down by the brake levers so I can ring while hands are kept low on brakes. It fits there fine but the angle isn't quite where I'd want it. I suppose the flip side is it's depenably always in the same position, but in other "ping" bells I normally put the hammer exactly where I want it for my hand positions, this one as I say is fixed. The hammer on those ones can be knocked out of position though, which is why of course some people might WANT it to be fixed like this one, I can see how it might be an advantage not a downside! Apart from that it does what it should do.

Cercavo un campanello semplice, funzionale ed economico e direi che questo fa proprio al caso mio, si monta facilmente stringendo una vite, rimane ben fisso e fa un ottimo suono neanche troppo esagerato come la maggior parte dei campanelli.
