Love these plant leaves. Better than my expectation because I had so many leaves and very fresh for me to do Puerto Rican Pasteles Christmas Delicacy and very inexpensive.I was also able to freeze what was not used.

Rotten and dry. Banana leaves are supposed to be refrigerated and lush green. People cook with these. They also came in a flimsy shopping bag. I demand my money back. This is outrageous! Do not buy this!

Product appears to be top quality and arrived in good condition. However, leaves were just in an open plastic bag with no protection from heat. Would expedited delivery be warranted? I don't know but I would feel more secure product was not organically compromised. Leaf package should at least be sealed and perhaps vacuum packed.

Never expect to receive this product that fresh and in a really good conditions. More because we are in the middle of the mountains

The size of the leaves is all over the place, they are not cut to be useful for tamales and we had to patch the tamales with the same leaves for Frankenstein tamales wrap. They transferred a lot of flavor to the tamales and I will give it a try with another vendor if we ever decide to cook tamales again. They ended up with a leave flavor and released a LOT of stain when we boiled the tamales. Seems like some leaves were easy to fold to wrap the tamales but some other leaves were plain cardboard...if you know what I mean. Thank heaven the tamales were eatable and we enjoyed them but better try other vendor in the future. Shipment was fast though, arrived fast and looked fresh. I do not recommend these even if you plan to use them for decorative purpose on a dish because your food will taste different from what you originally intend in the recipe.

I've been buying this brand of fresh bannana leaves for the past 8 years and they had always been satisfactory. That is, until this year, they arrived half rotted. Large portions of the leaves had gone black, a couple were even slimy with rot. Unfortunately I didn't have time to replace as I didn't know they were bad until I started cooking. So I trimmed and washed what I could and was able to use maybe half of the package. The dish turned out ok, no thanks to rotting bannana leaves.
