I can’t say how much the cooling it improves but from what I gathered it was necessary. Plus it doesn’t cost much at all so why not.I got a 149000k replacement and this also works with the 14900k

Although AM5 CPUs don't require contact frames as Intel CPUs do, it doesn't hurt to apply even pressure to the CPU's installation. Additionally, these will help prevent the thermal paste messes of old, where extra paste ends up in the little edges and corners of the AM5 IHS, and will be a pain to clean up later on.I have a few recommendations for installing these:1) Watch the GamersNexus' video on the Intel version, which has a helpful installation demonstration section that is basically similar to the AM5 version.2) Whatever cooler you are using, make sure to have the standoffs installation hardware installed BEFORE removing the original AM5 CPU retention mechanism, ESPECIALLY if you already have the system in the case like me. Otherwise, the AM5 backplate will fall off, and you will have more work ahead of you.Overall, does it's job well, looks cool, and helps with thermal paste cleanup and prevent messes. Highly recommended.

I had the typical Intel CPU retainer on my MB which, with research, would give you unequal pressure on the chipset resulting in higher CPU temps. For those with the 13700 series, we are all struggling to keep the temps down to respectable numbers. Not only did this get rid of the standard CPU retainer, but it looks and performs much better.Pros:Installation was a breeze. Look at GamersNexus YouTube video for installation so you create equal pressure when tightening down.Temps are brought down as of now. I’m still verifying that with extensive use so I’m not providing initial temp numbers.Quality is very good. I got the black to match my MB. Seems to be CNC machine metal.Cons:None as of now. Just get it. It will only improve your CPU temps, especially at this low price.

Meu 13600k estava chegando 90-100 graus com 12 a 16% de uso do processador.Eu mesmo mudei o adaptador e usei a pasta térmica que veio.Usando o CPU-Z stress agora não passa de 85 graus, utilizo um Walter coolers de 240.So dei três estrelas pela demora, Produto demorou 15 dias,o mesmo veio da China devido isso a demora,mas estava dentro do prazo de entrega.Muito satisfeito com o produto.

Muy recomendable, sobre todo considerando el bajo precio.A mi lo que mas me preocupaba era que se doblara la Motherboard, o el procesador, por el mecanismo de palanca de Intel.i5 12400F. Antes obtenia 84º C al correr Cinebench. Bajo la temperatura 6º C comparado a lo que tenia antes. (Usando el disipador basico de Intel).Lo combine con una pasta termina MX-6.Muy facil instalacion, si sabes lo que stas haciendo.La instalacion es un proceso delicado, pero no es complicado. Si no expones el socket dejando el procesador en su lugar, sigues la indicacion de hacer un patron en cruz al apretar los tornillos, y solo los enroscas hasta donde poca fuerza se requiera, vas a estar bien. Para mi funciono a la primera.
