HGGrease Away Cleaner, Kitchen Degreaser, Removes Fat & Oil – 500ml

I’ve been using the HG Grease Away Cleaner for a while now, and it’s definitely one of the more effective kitchen degreasers I’ve tried. It comes in a 500 ml spray bottle that’s simple to handle, and the spray quality is excellent — it delivers a consistent, even mist that covers surfaces well without dripping or wasting product.The spray effectiveness really shows on greasy surfaces. It clings well to cooker hoods, splashbacks, oven doors, and cupboard fronts without running off too quickly, allowing it to break down oil and fat effectively. You don’t need to use much for it to work, which contributes to its durability — the bottle lasts longer than expected even with frequent use.As for quality, the formula feels professional-grade. It cuts through stubborn grease quickly, and I rarely need to go over the same area twice. The cleaner also performs well on both metal and laminate surfaces, and I’ve had no issues with damage or discolouration.One of the standout features is its smear removal and smear resistance. After wiping away the product, surfaces come out looking clean and streak-free — especially glass and stainless steel, which are often tricky. It doesn’t leave a film or residue behind, and I’ve noticed surfaces stay cleaner for longer, which suggests some resistance to future smudging.Overall, this is a reliable and well-performing degreaser that delivers great results with minimal effort. The combination of effective spray action, cleaning power, and streak-free finish makes it an excellent choice for everyday kitchen cleaning. It’s also great value considering how long one bottle can last.

Had a freezer that had a massive build up of Ice.Using this deffo helped to remove the majority of build up. Didn't smell bad either which was a bonus

Pretty good stuff. It does as suggested, remove solids first with a scraper and blade.Spray this on, leave to soak in for a few mins then wipe dry. It evaporates quickly and polishes to a nice shine after. Leaving no streaks....

My Dolce Gusto pod machine had started struggling to push water through the pods, and the flow had become noticeably worse. After giving it a thorough clean and then using the HG descaler, the difference is clear - water is being pushed through properly again and the extraction feels back to normal.The descaling process itself was straightforward; I followed the instructions, let it run through, and flushed it afterwards. I was expecting only a small improvement, but the flow is significantly better, which makes a real difference in cup quality and consistency.For keeping a pod machine running smoothly, this is a good quality, easy-to-use descaler, which is a smart bit of maintenance to do regularly.

Nowhere near as good as Eco Descalk which appears not be available in the UK anymore. Does an average job, leaves no taste behind. For my Gaggia Classic it would need to be used more frequently for same effect but only once a stronger product has cleared the machine.

Awesome degreaser, the BEST cleaning product I've ever used in my kitchen. I used it to degrease and clean all 24 cupboard and drawer fronts on my kitchen before painting them. The paint adhered perfectly to the super-cleaned surfaces. I'd usually use sugar soap solution to degrease and prime surfaces for painting but tried HG Degreaser as an experiment. So glad I did. The grease seems to dissolve within a few seconds of contact with very little rubbing needed. I used a green scouring pad and a microfibre cloth after the spray solution had been left for a few minutes. The smell of the product us quite 'heady' / verging on the unpleasant, but I had the windows and door open to dissipate the smell. It almost smells a little like nail varnish remover, but not as vile. It leaves no streaks and seemed to remove every last trace of grease. Recommended 100%, just as good as sugar soap, only quicker and more convenient in the spray form.

Does the job. Bit expensive, might try Citric Acid powder next time 1kg for less than £10

This descaler works really well. I used it on my coffee machine and it removed all the build-up quickly. It’s easy to use and doesn’t take long. My espresso tastes way better now, and the machine feels cleaner. Definitely worth having if you want to keep your coffee tasting good.
