I purchased this knife block for my son for his new apartment. I had an old set of quality knives that I wanted to gift him and wanted to present them in something beautiful. This knife block was so perfect and did not break the bank. The color is like a deep brandy color and fit all the knives perfectly and even has room for a knife sharpener, utility scissors and steak knives. So compact, and rich wood color. The knives I gifted had black handles and I think it looked stunning on his kitchen countertop. I also suppose brushes stainless steel would look quite handsome too. Very happy with this purchase. My son was very impressed and thankful for the gift.

Great knife block. Very functional and so clean looking. The wood is a beautiful color and matches my kitchen perfectly! It’s marketed as universal and is just that, it fits all my knives perfectly. You can put a knife sharpener or small scissors in the top small slot. Very happy with my purchase! Some reviews say that it’s not sturdy or the glue or woodworks ia damaged, it must be hit or miss. I don’t have any problems with mine. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent for wide variety of knives. It’s big enough but not boxy/bulky. Slots are roomy without being too big. Very pleased with this item. Wood grain is nice also.

Very nice wood, looks good, feels sturdy. The main point for me was that my knives were vertical, not horizontal like most knife blocks seem to be. Probably would've gotten used to the difference but this one works for me. If I was to nitpick, maybe the slots could be cleaned out a bit better. Still 5 stars for quality, price, value.

It is a sturdy block, plenty of slots for knives and a pair of scissors. My biggest disappointment was the color. I ordered two of these blocks and neither was light in color with the beautiful wood grain pictured in the ad. Even the shipping box shows a dark block so don't expect to get anything close in wood grain and color to what is pictured.
