A great product when
These are quite versatile as far as the uses, one of our major uses for the fiberglass pen is for cleaning up a circuit board when doing rework. The others we use on different machinery, I have still not needed to change any of the tips, I am very thankful they do include them and ask for the build quality I was really impressed that they did not break when applying pressure. Definitely will purchase these again hopefully they'll still be around in 20 years when you need them

Well worth the money
I have used all of these pens. Mainly for cleaning up light corrosion on small metal parts and they all work well, while experiencing none of the problems with the retraction mechanism that some have experienced. If you only need the fiberglass material, however, an even better choice would be the Generic KSB Fiberglass Scratch Pen with Refills, as the fiberglass used in this set is the most effective of all with the best abrasive properties for this type of material, while also being a really good value.

Great set for the price, excellent seller
I received the pens two days earlier than expected. Three of the four were great. The mechanisms rotate smoothly and they work as a scratch brush should. I tried them out on an expensive pocket knife and one of the nicer watches I own. They performed great. I've really missed the fiberglass one i misplaced. Having steel and brass to use makes the work go much faster. The steel bristles are softer than standard mild steel. This was great to discover. It cleaned out the guilloche pattern of the scales with ease and left no visable marks that I could see looking through a 3.5x mag optivisor. The brass cleaned the screws and around the pocket clip great. I did a quick once over on my titanium watch band and with the help of degreaser it cleaned up great. I didn't lose any bristles doing this like other reviewers suggested. If used as intended these will last the hobbiest a long time. I'm sure they would fail quickly if you try to use them with over half of the bristles exposed and try to scrub deep rust or remove paint with them. Any scratch brush would. They are for detail work, generally the area your cleaning up isn't much larger than the diameter of the brush. The two jobs I just did were very large for these. I only did the areas that couldn't be reached with bigger tools. There are lots of videos showing how these should be used. My old fiberglass pen still had the original brush in it after 10 years use. l had a problem with the fiber glass brush, it got damaged during the manufacturing process, the chrome end cap got put on on an angle and the crimp at the other end appeared to be done in the wrong place. It didn't work. I contacted the seller and included a couple pictures. He responded within 10 minutes and apologized for the inconvenience. He offered to send a complete new set and a tracking number showing it shipped arrived shortly after. I was pleasently suprised that they dealt with the issue in their first response and went above and beyond by replacing the whole set instead of just the one. That's how every seller should deal with a customer when a faulty product is shipped. Its the first time a seller hasn't tried to haggle, offer a discount or generally do everything possible to avoid a return. No return filing, printing shipping labels or long drive to the post office. I've given up on other defect products because the gas to drive to the post office was more than its value. It's a rare thing to get such excellent customer service these days. I'm very happy with the brush set and even more so with the seller. Its not often you get more than expected in situations like these.

You get what you pay for
Used the nylon brush but would not retract, as I said you get what you pay for! The other brushes work well for my model work, would like to know where a refill could be obtained and if it would fit the flimsy collar? For the price great value
