Sorry I threw the instructions away so don't know. We always wash it with washing up liquid (anti bac). I think it would remove the detail on the brush handle if it was put into dishwasher. Sorry can't be of more help

No, it’s not soft enough. Better for scrubbing other vegetables such as sweet potatoes and carrots.
