I was tripping to rural Colorado. The card works perfectly outdoors, although some indoor locations have an issue with a European phone (certain LTE bands such as B7 not supported). The activation process was quick, although a bit daunting. Internet speed fine. Call quality was okay, even from indoors. Good bang for the buck when it comes to a short trip, although thanks to Wi-Fi, I didn't really use the data connection, only 500 MiB-ish.One downside: there is no way to query how much data you have left.

Purchased this US sim for a recent trip to New York...set up was easy as per instructions, just needed to tweak the APN details and sim activated by text within minutes. Received a decent signal with network and able to ring both US and UK phone numbers with ease...just remember to dial all 12 digits Inc access code 1 for the states and worked a treat. But saying that it wasn't useless trying to access data as it simply took ages and ages to even access homepage ....very disappointed the whole point of buying this sim wasn't for access to Internet whilst out and about....totally unusable so we relied on the many FREE WiFi hotshots throughout New York even in the street.

Very impressed. The SIM was delivered rapidly with easy-to-understand instructions, the process for registration was straightforward and it worked brilliantly during a month stay in USA. I was able to make a lot of calls, both locally in the USA and back to the UK and used the internet connection extensively without having to spend an extra penny. Signal strength was excellent at all times. I will definitely be using again.

Actually I get all the time LTE network instead of 4G but anyway the network was almost fast, but i get issues with the sim card, sometimes it didn’t work, the last two days before my holiday end the data network stopped to works and the data was so slow.

I've had this installed on my unlocked phone for the past two weeks. It was simple enough to install, and worked OK for 2 days in Boston. In Cape Cod, the mobile signal was patchy / intermittent over 4 days. In southern Vermont, it has been non-existent the entire week I have been here. I have a dual SIM phone and throughout the past two weeks an AT&T signal has been available to my Virgin mobile SIM almost without interruption. Based on this experience, my conclusion is that Lycamobile probably works in most major US cities and towns, but is practically useless anywhere else. So, if you're planning to travel around, better to pay the extra for an AT&T SIM.

Registered the card in UK, and it gave me a US phone number straight away, put sim in a turned off & unlocked phone, and DID NOT, as instructed, turn this phone on until I arrived in USA. Worked right away and sometimes better than my sisters phone, particularly when using the internet (she had paid for an extra service to use over there ). If you are mainly going to theme parks it's worth knowing that Disney and Universal have their own wifi network which you can log onto for free and use whatsapp so don't need additional services to keep connected if your party splits up.

We visit Florida each year for several weeks. This card works brilliantly every time. When used for email, phone, text and sat nav, the data is effectively unlimited. Never had any problems with reception.The initial set up is straightforward and quick.The only reason that this is not a 5 star review is that once in the US it appears impossible to purchase an extra period when using a UK credit card.To be perfect, I would love to be able to keep the same number from year to year.
