Kallimni ‘Arabi Bishweesh: A Beginners’ Course in Spoken Egyptian Arabic 1

Very difficult to use if you're learning independently
This book is very difficult to use if you don't have a teacher. The instructions are entirely in Arabic, making it really difficult to know what to do unless you already speak Arabic ... which you presumably don't, since you bought a beginner's Egyptian Arabic book. Each chapter is followed by some English instructions and some transcriptions, but they don't appear to be complete and it's not clear that they're there to help you with the preceeding section. It's not very well arranged, to be honest. If you're working with a teacher, it's useful, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately, there aren't many good beginners' books for learning Egyptian, because many of the others don't use Arabic script.

The modules and exercises are pretty good in teaching important lessons BUT
I am not really convinced. The modules and exercises are pretty good in teaching important lessons BUT:1. As some people mentioned this book is hard to use without a teacher, which the also states in the instructions. I personally think a good teaching book should be able to include exercises and explanations that students can use by themselves. Especially for adults who mostly learn by themselves.2. It only has a CD and no online audio link. Come on! It's 2017, who owns a CD player anymore???3. The book doesn't lay flat. I know it sounds minor but it's so annoying to constantly hold the book down and keep it from closing.4. The instructions in arabic are too difficult for beginner's level.

Good Lesson aid, but not for revising
This book is more for teachers than students. I bought it since my tutor is using this book, and I can read the Arabic script. I had noticed a few typos on the texts within. The dialogue scripts in the book in combination Audio CD allow for studying outside of lessons but the excersices in the book are not clear.

good in class, a struggle on your own.
Great for class use, you need a teacher. A shame because it would be excellent with some English to support the learning and guide you.

It’s is totally uNsuitable and does not help anyone learn Arabic
This book is written in Arabic so I’m not sure how you could think it’s suitable for someone to learn to speak arabic. I’m extremely disappointed in this purchase

for that purpose it's a great book but if you are non-Arabic speaker and want ...
This book is for an Arabic teacher to teach Egyptian Arabic to non-Arabic speakers, for that purpose it's a great book but if you are non-Arabic speaker and want to learn then it's not for you.
