Does the job
Bought to add ventilation to an old UPVC porch. Well made and does the job. A little chunky, but the exterior hood keeps the elements out. Easy to fit.

Inexpensive, good design
This vent has a bug grill on the outside and a swing-shut closure on the inside. Works well, looks good. I bought some more.

Work but very flimsy
Work fine however very flimsy. Inside part was that thin it came slightly distorted and made fitting more difficult.Only time will tell whether flap will stand test of time. 🤞

Fit for purpose. Second time I've bought these.
Buying these again for my next house. Nice rounded edges etc. The clickstop action of the vent on the inside is a little delicate but it works and I didn't have a problem with these in my last flat over the 3yrs they were installed.Just some notes on installing - UPvC windows have a mild steel frame (flat strip) inside to keep their shape. This is (usually) set in the outside facing wall of the box section of the frame. Working from the inside, drilling small holes, accurately, with short HSS drills is hard work when you hit the hard(ish) steel several cms away. I found it so much easier to drill accurately from the outside. For upstairs windows, tie a (safety) rope round your window and anchor it somehow. Pop a few screws out of the hinge runners and lift it inside to do the work! Just mentioned it as I was head scratching over this when in a 2nd floor flat. My windows weren't too heavy and the drilling was simple and more accurate.Another customer wrote about outside noise getting in through the holes you drill. Can't agree more. We overlooked a busy 'A' road and we had a little more noise in the room even with vents shut. Answer - smaller holes (this time), but maybe more of them. Space them out as well. It's an engineering thing but the bigger the holes the greater the frequency range of sounds that are going to get through. Spacing the holes might even help with a little noise cancellation(?). Ideally you'd stuff some sonic lagging material into the window frame but (a) it would probably fill up with condensation and (b) you can't get in that space anyway. On the outside vent its probably worth running a bead of good quality silicone sealant round the top edge when you install it to stop any rainwater ingress.I'd give them 5 stars but for the delicacy of the inside vent.
