Not Perfect, But Pretty Good for the Price
In an attempt to give me a little more space in my bedroom I decided to get rid of my TV and stand and get a projector instead. I did not want to spend a fortune on one as my needs are fairly simple so opted for this Wimius P62 after doing a little research and reading a number of reviews. The P62 is of a reasonable size, measuring 25.7 x 20 x 10.3 cm. It has two HDMI ports as well as a USB port so you can view pictures, listen to audio (though I'm not sure why you'd buy a projector for listening to music) and stream video media directly from the device. For connectivity it has both Bluetooth (5.2) and Wi-Fi 6. The interface is fairly basic and you cannot directly use any of the streaming services though the documentation states you can use USB sticks like the Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast or Roku Stick. I have not tried any of those yet as I have an OSMC box (Kodi) connected via HDMI where I can stream my media that I have backed up on my server.I have my P62 on a cheap projector stand I bought and which is situated just over 3 metres away from the wall. The P62 has a standard 1/4 inch mounting screw so there are plenty of options for stands if that is how you want yours set up. There are also screw holes for ceiling mounting. At that distance you do get a rather large screen size though there is a setting where you can shrink the screen size to a minimum of 50% if you so desire. The P62 also has an auto focus option as well as auto keystone. As my projector is static I turned both of those options off after I was happy with the display.Picture quality is pretty good for a device at this price point though it is not perfect, mainly when it comes to faces. I cannot seem to quite get the skin tone right so it can look a little over-white in bright scenes. Other than that it is a surprisingly good picture at night with the room lights off. During the day I have found the picture to look somewhat washed out, even with my blackout curtains closed, but it is still watchable. The sound is not super loud but it is OK. I would suggest pairing some Bluetooth speakers or headphones if you want something a little more immersive.I only have a couple of slight gripes with this device. The first is that the manual shows a number of extra options for picture colour than actually exist. I am assuming some of these settings have been removed with firmware updates. I have raised this with Wimius support but in just over a week since I raised a ticket the only response I have had is an acknowledgement and promise that a technician will contact me. Their initial response was fairly quick though so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.My second issue, and this is more likely an Android problem, is that the P62 supports Miracast but it appears a lot of Android devices don't (mine included) so I cannot stream from my phone or tablet. Apple users will probably be OK.I bought this projector on sale so paid just over £150 and at that price I do think it's a bit of a bargain even with the minor picture quality issue and I do think it's worth considering if you want something fairly cheap and cheerful. I have rated this at 5 stars because at this price I was not expecting perfection. Had it been a more expensive item the rating would have been less.[Update] Wimius support did get back to me shortly after I wrote this review and advised that there is an update due in July which will hopefully resolve my issues. They also advised that the manual will be updated at that time.

A truly great projector, the brightness is just incredible!
The media could not be loaded. I own quite a few projectors, being an engineer with an obsession for technology, mostly for audio/visual products. I have to say that objectively and subjectively, this is one of the best.BrightnessThe stand-out feature to me that this projector excels in is the brightness. I have bought cheaper (sub-£200) projectors in the past and while they generally can be pretty good, they can cause a bit of strain even in the dark due to low brightness. This one doesn't have this, even with daylight entering the room, it can still display a bright, comfortable to view image. I cannot stress how important this is for a good projector viewing experience. I have attached an image of the screen during daylight to show this (the one on the home screen).QualityThe projector is as advertised a 1080P projector, and can happily display 4k input (at 1080P). While my PC monitor and main TV in the lounge are both 4K from reputable brands, I'm still impressed by the quality of this projector and always look forward to watching movies on it. The refresh rate appears to be 60Hz and displays YouTube/Netflix content nice and smoothly, as well as looking great watching lower frame rate movies. Some cheaper projectors struggle to focus the entire screen at once, but this projector does a good job at it! I projected onto a 100" 1.1 gain screen.SoundThe built-in speaker is okay and works well in a pinch, but if you want to get the most out of movies/games, you will want to connect it to a soundbar or other audio device.ConnectivityThe Wi-Fi works great for streaming from devices with no noticeable stuttering or connection issues. Bluetooth works very well for outputting sound to a sound bar. Again no audible, or connectivity issues there either.NoiseThe projector is a little noisy, but definitely not among the noisiest. I would assume that this is due to the power of the LED(s) that produces the impressive brightness. This is a compromise I would take any time. Bright LEDs need a lot of cooling, which will always result in a bit more noise. You would need to make the expensive step-up to a laser projector to avoid this.MountingI mounted the projector in the eaves crease in my loft room with a 3D printed bracket. This is in a desktop configuration, but the settings on the projector do allow for many projection methods, such as ceiling mounting. You can remove the rubber feet to reveal 4 screws to securely attach the projector to a ceiling mount. The version I received actually had a typical camera mounting screw, so I utilized that to attach to the mount.ThrowThe projector is standard throw, meaning as like most projectors, you need to place it a fair distance from the screen to get a very large image. In the pictures and videos in this review, the screen size was 75 inches at a throw distance of 90 inches, which isn't too bad at all.Other FeaturesUnfortunately, there are is no facility to install apps to the projector, but just plug a fire stick or other device in the back and you're set with everything you need. This likely kept the cost of the projector down and I actually prefer this, as some projector OS's can be quite clunky in regard to apps. Especially when streaming 4k movies etc. As the data rate goes up, sometimes their hardware struggles to keep up and buffering starts to happen, ruining the experience or even making it completely unwatchable. Also, it's one less device to input all your credentials into! The auto focusing is great, resulting in a nice crisp image every time (I've never had to tweak it during any testing, nor while installed and using normally). The auto-keystone leaves a bit to be desired, but I'm happy to turn this off and keystone manually.ConclusionOverall it's a great projector at a good price. It's hard to find a projector with good 1080P reproduction with the amount of brightness it chucks out. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Simple to use and fun
After many months of trying out different projectors I decided to try the wimius p62 and my i say I'm liking so for the picture image is very good at this price point also I'm liking the auto focus that works very well even with things around itThe sounds OK but I'm still inprest with the ease and function of it all i think must projector need a separate sound system but the fact that I can connect to Bluetooth make it pretty easy to connect with my soundbar which seems to work like a dreamMirror streaming with my phone was also very good no problem so farOnly tried android don't use apple so can't comment on thatThe remote can be a little hit and miss when trying to navigate around it seems slow sometimes to connectThe little carry bag is a nice touch also for when want to go around to family or friends just slip it in the bag and of you go nice like that much better than a carrier bag lolI'm no expert or anything but I've been impressed with this little projectorThe connection are all easy to access at the back of the unit couple of hdmi and 2 usb and audio jack alsoIf any thing I would say that it's perfect for the kids to enjoy at home or awaySeems a nice little gift for the grandkids over the summer holidays or the sleepoversGaming I can't comment on because it's not something I do so no console to try with it but I'm sure that it would be a lot of funYouTube work well with no issues through firestick and everything seems to run nice and smoothNetflix seemed goodCould of done with installing some app direct and that Im sure would be a nice touchI'm still enjoying using this little beautyCan't really find much wrong for this priceNice
