Fantastic when you need coffee or tea to go
I bought this for my wife for Christmas mainly because she only drinks decaf and more often than not it is tricky to find when out and about or even when in the office. This a great product is nothing else for it's versatility. She is able to simple add the coffee grinds and then make up her coffee where she happens to be (it is easier to find hot water than decaf coffee), or make it up before she leaves the house an use it as a conventional travel mug.I was so impressed that I bought on for myself for use at work as I was tired of getting a coffee and then only for it to go cold when you get side tracked. It also means I don't have to have the less than flavoursome coffee from the office coffe machine. It is also very sturdy, so not fear of breaking it like conventional glass bodums. The other attraction for me is that I sometimes just want a cup of green tea and the loose leaves are the best for this. This mug avoids have to drink my way around floating leaves to get to my drink! It keeps the drink hot for quite some time. This only negative possibility if I was being picky is that because of the plunger bit it may leak slightly from there if not press down sufficiently, but most travel mugs are not designed for sealed for throwing around when full anyway.I cannot recommend this enough, and have been raving about it in the office to those with more inferior products.

Incredible heat retention, small capacity
The downside first - given the overall size of the product, the internal capacity is quite small. Just under a decent sized mug, by way of comparison. On the plus side, it's very sturdy, has a brilliant rubber base and the thermal performance is remarkable. As others have noted, drinks stay very hot (actually hot, not just warm) for a long time. It's easy to use, the press is smooth and doesn't allow any coffee to leak into your drink. It's also easy to clean, without hard to reach and clean places that collect coffee.Overall, very impressed, I just wish it was a little larger in internal capacity.

Simple but highly effective effective.
I must make it clear that I am no expert on coffee or coffee making. However during lock-down I decided now might be a good time to treat my self to a decent cup of coffee at home. Knowing frankly nothing about the subject I googled the subject and found a very useful video on you tube made by Taylor's of Harrogate. I was pleased to see just how easy it was and noticed they were using a Bodum French coffee press. Consequently I got a Bodum Caffettiera 3 Cup French Press Coffee Maker and have been using it for about 6 months, and am more than happy with it.I then discovered that Bodum produce a travel version using a stainless steel vessel instead of glass. Since the technique, timings and quantities are all basically the same this seemed to be an obvious choice for carrying in my back pack when hiking. As a travel product it has much to recommend it being very robust and simple so there is basically nothing to go wrong. Additionally it is relatively light and compact. Given the quality of the materials I believe it is very good value for money.

Looks good and works well
Well made - steel and black silicone, with quality plastic top. The steel is more shiny than brushed, but it's not like chrome. This really stays hot for ages, and I haven't even pre warmed the thing. Looks good for the meeting and makes everyone jealous with the smell of real coffee. I take small plastic containers with freshly ground coffee and brown sugar in. Put the coffee in, top it up with hot water, then rest the filter just in the top, but I don't screw the top down yet. Leave it to brew, then just before I screw the top on, I put brown sugar on top of the mesh, then screw it down and slowly push the plunger so the coffee seeps up, dissolving the sugar. Then I have a small flexible silicone funnel which I can push in the hole in the top and top up with milk, before clipping the flap down. If you don't add milk be careful not to burn yourself.

Great mug and quality.
The mug is excellent, easy to use and allows you to have a really nice coffee. Keeps the heat really well, so even when it's busy at work it stays warm.Lower score is because although advertised with a spare lid to use as a travel mug I didnt receive this which was disappointing. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

So far so good
Great cup, great idea, but there are two things you need to know about it. 1) It's not a non-spill cup. 2) If you are a slow coffee drinker, make sure you put slightly less coffee than usual, otherwise it gets too strong with time. No issues so far!

No extra lid
Doesn’t come with an extra lid like it says in the video!!

Great Quality Product
Bought this primarily to take on Hols for a nice coffee in room. This works for me, good hot coffee and with the double wall Stainless will be good to keep drinks cold at the pool or keep some ice in. As some others have said the plunger does not seem to go down far enough however I had a old small caffettiera which had a slightly longer stem same diameter and thread which I swapped and it now goes right down to the bottom and compresses the coffee without it swirling around and stewing the brew. I think BODUM could maybe look at lengthening the stem, solved my problem but may not suit everyone. It's not meant be flung about so it does leak a bit if you do, maybe a small oring or seal at the top of the plunger would help. It's also pretty easy to clean.
