The stickers have a textured finish,and do a good job of modelling the original zimmerit finish.

Q: Will this fit an airfix tiger i early version'?

The decal set is in the right scale and is is meant to fit that particular tiger type, There is limited compatibility info on what models other than Tamiya it fits. If you have the decal set or access to one fit, it the reason is that zimmerit wasn’t fitted perfectly in service, and the decal set comes with a large spare transfer making it easier to fill gaps or correct errors.

Q: is this really any good

Yes it is, when trying to get the effect yourself, it can sometimes end up being a total mess, although this 'sticker' effect isn't as good as doing it yourself with putty, if you get it right of course, this is a very easy and time effective way to get the effect. Once painted and weathered properly it gives a fantastic look. I've used this for the 1/35 tiger mid/late model and the early version as well, I've also used this 'sticker' effect on the king tiger also. I myself prefer this method as I can't produce the effect with putty or other ways, so this is the next best thing!
