This is fab so easy to make up. It tates lovely. And i know its goid for me. Its amazing seeing a new scoobie forming on top. Highly recomend.

Didn't come with jar! Very misleading......

I'm not as expert in this area as the other reviewer who discusses whether it is a 'Jun' scoby rather than 'Kombucha' scoby. However, I am an experienced dowser, and used my dowsing to pair this with green tea (Hampstead organic tea) and dark brown muscovado sugar. I leave it in a cupboard, door slightly ajar, to keep it dark but allowing air to circulate. I started things off with a can of Kombucha (Kombucha Kat Original from Ocado) being added to the mix.The results have been great - it brews very quickly - for me turning just right around the 5-6 day mark.It's a continuous brewing jar with a spigot, so I just make the next batch of tea in a big saucepan, then cool down the saucepan of tea+sugar by putting the saucepan in some cold water to cool it more quickly. Then it gets poured carefully into the jar - muslin cloth popped back on and into the cupboard again.I then do a second step - with small 0.25 litre clip-top bottles - I put 50% kombucha and 50% blueberry juice - and let it sit for a day or two (in the dark) before putting them in the fridge. This tastes even better. I tried with freshly squeezed orange and also with lychee juice but the results were nowhere near as tasty as with the blueberry juice. There isn't much fizz compared to the Youtube videos I saw - but I don't want the taste to be so sour. Perhaps after a year or two my taste will adapt to brewing a bit longer and getting more fizz.

The jar functions as it should, but it is quite difficult to get the liquid dispensed into bottles once fermented.

The picture is now a few months inIt came to me in a sealed packet, not a lot of starter fluid.It looked whiter than my other kombuchasI sectioned it into two and fed one side honey and green tea and the other side i gave black tea and sugar as instructed.The instructions said kombucha and instructions said black tea and sugar. That one didnt frement and the green tea and sugar did.Based on what i know, this bacteria is possibly a junIf that was what i was meant to order id give a five stars as it grows quickly, really good for what it isI still wanted a new kombucha though.

Product arrived within the estimated date. Am brewing my first batch now. The SCOBY is a good size but the liquid it came in was about 2 tablespoon which is barely enough.

I WOULD USE IT FOR KOMBUCHA AS I WAS EXPECTING THE JAR ASWELL.DISGRACEFULLY AND MISLEADINGLY WRITTEN.
