Fantastic learning tool! AAAA+++
This is a very good toy. It is fun and you learn with it. I bought it for my two year old son and he adores it.You connect it to a computer and write the name of your child say Romeo. so each time you turn it on it says "Hello Romeo" you don't choose from pre-set names, you write whatever your child is known as say Sammy, Johnie, Kiki, Nikki, or any short cut name. It allows you to make that choice, so it makes the toy so personal for your child. It calls his name now and then.The email too is a brilliant idea. as we listen to the emails I composed to my son. he just beams with excitement! It is a good toy both for fun and learning.You learn have 26 alphabets with different 26 sounds of any musical instrument, 26 different sounds of different animals, 26 names of animals that begin with each letter of the alphabet and some music. How brilliant!and it celebrates the letter that begins with your child's name.The battery life is also good. It takes only 2 small batteries and really lasts.my little boy adores it and i think is a very good bargain and worth every penny. No regrets.

Best product for my son.
My son loved this product and won't let it off his eyes. It is a good learning toy for my son. teaches how to pronounce alphabets and animals name they stands for. Plays lovely music. It is also portable for a toddler and helped to keep him away from my laptop. unlike other toys it personalizes and stores e-mail for the child to read; allowing them the opportunity to learn how to pronounce words too. Excellent seller, prompt service; i will definitely buy from them again.5 star product, 5 star service from seller.I highly recommend them.

Annoyed about the lack of names
I read around a few laptops before deciding to purchase this Leaptop. I bought it in Pink for my daughters 1 year birthday as she adores my laptop and I thought it would be a good distraction whilst I use mine. I decided on this one due to the reasonable price and good reviews. After 1 day I can see it is very durable because my daughter has been throwing it off the sofa onto the floor without anything breaking. The screen is small but more annoyingly has no colour only black and grey which I notice most toys have but I would've preferred a colour-screen to keep her attention. The most annoying part was that I could not put her name into the Leaptop when I personalised it as the Leaptop is restricted to only saying a few names of whcih my daughter's was not one. It does have may of the common names but would've been nice if there was a way to perhaps the audio of my daughters name so it could refer to her by name as opposed to just writing her name on the screen as she cannot read yet. Other than that it is good but the personalisation is less fantastic than I thought it would be.I ordered this on Sunday and received it Tuesday so great service from Amazon of course.

Another Leapfrog winner
I bought the Leaptop for my grandson Ethan and was very pleased with the quality. I have previously purchased other leapfrog toys and always rate them very highly. When l'm looking after Ethan he loves to send an 'E' to mammy and always has a smile on his face whislt doing it. He is 2 1/2 years old and bangs on the keys like crazy so very pleased its durable. Although I must admit it looked very strange watching him the first time he used it. His little fingers were tapping on the keybaord like a well trained typist. For the price it amazing. Only thing I would change is music choice it would have been nicer to have popular nursery rhymes with lyrics for him to sing along to. Would highly recommend it.

Leapfrog Childs Laptop
very nice size for childrent to handle/open & use. Can be personalised via USB link to Leapfrog website. This allows for your own child's name to be inserted to Laptop, it tells the child it has "e mails" & reads the "message" and who its "from" (again pre-set options - Mummy/Daddy et et, decent amount of options-(from a list of pre-set options, when you log-in to personalise the Laptop).Nice learning aid/toy that give's because it can be personalised slightly, give's it an edge, useful especially for younger children.Great price at under fifteen pounds when purchased on Amazon.Battery life very good.

Good for make-believe play
The first one was faulty but amazon were great to send out a replacement ASAP.My two year old enjoys it, but at this stage of her development it's something you really have to sit down together to do (which is absolutely fine by me!). I think it will help her understand the connection between letters and words as she plays more. The graphics aren't great and the "email messages" don't teach anything, but it certainly keeps my little one busy for a short while. The learning apps for iPads are much cheaper and more effective, but there's something about having a "laptop" that makes it all a lot of fun.

Bought this for my two year old grandson.
This was a big hit with our William! all the big people in his life have computers, and he gets to play with my i pad when he visits. Now he has his own computer! Within minutes of extracting it from the very complicated packaging, he had worked out how to turn it on and off, control the volume (he likes loud). He just follows the instructions that the computer gives him, and works away! A very child friendly toy, and he loves it, spends ages listening to the songs and following the instructions to find out new things about animals and everything else. a worthwhile buy! And he loves telling everybody " I have a computer"!
