Nice ones!
As sharp as it can get. Be careful. Not for beginners! :)

Not Damascus, but they ARE knives and they cut
The Damascus pattern is etched on to the blades

Beautiful and surprisingly sharp!
This is an expensive set of knives, the actual knives look more impressive than the pictures in the description when I hold it in my hand. Don't be fooled by the country of origin, trust me they look so much more refined and elegant than any of my other Japanese brands, with much lower cost of course. The first thing I notice is the exceptional sharpness, it is dangerously sharp like a razor. The wooden handle is very comfortable to hold, overall balance is well engineered, this makes it effortless to cut through things. The pattern on the surface of the blade looks beautiful. The storage box also looks nice, even though not as of high quality as the knives themselves. If not looking at the instruction set and warranty card written by non-native English speakers, I would have mistakenly thought this was from Japan or Germany. Overall I am super satisfied with this excellent knife set!

Sharp AF
Be careful with these. Even the slightest bump against them while they are sitting on the counter will slice you up like butter. Yes...I did that accidentally. They are great knives. Super sharp.

Average knives, damascus is etched (not true damascus) and handles have issues
I really wanted to like these knives but truly they are average at best. First, let's just state - these are sharp knives and they have cut everything we've tried them on with little issue. So that's definitely a good thing at least. That said, my biggest issue with these knives is the handles. I like how the blades run the length of the handle and aren't just capped and glued. BUT they didn't take the time to level or smooth the metal and the wood on the handles. When you hold these knives, there is a noticeable sharpness to the metal where it meets the wood. It isn't sharp enough to cut you or anything but you definitely can feel where the wood and metal differ in finished length. It's a shame they didn't take the time to trim or adjust these properly so the handles are completely smooth and the metal isn't felt like this.I didn't remove a star for this - but the damascus pattern is etched, it's not a true damascus blade (in case there are any out there for who this is an important distinction).

Knife
I didn't notice that the knife was very sharp. I'm only using it for the second day. Maybe it comes unsharpened and needs to be sharpened?
