Q: Ordered for my 90 year dad said there is no power to it. I had him press the "S" button & hold and nothing comes on screen?

It might be defective. Contact customer service and see if they can help. If not they will send you a new one!! They have awesome customer service!

Q: It seems the price for 100 test strips is same as the price of while kit including 100 strips. Does anyone know if other test strips are compatible?

100. There are 2 containers with 50 each. 1 of the containers comes already in the pouch, the other is outside the pouch, but in the box.
