SweetGlob Dried Chili Mango Slices Hot Spicy Snacks (2 Pound)

When you first bite into these they are very tart. I assume this is due to the use of citric acid and lime juice. They are heavily coated with ground chili and while spicy, it's not overpowering. Once you start chewing, the sweetness is released. I've gotten one pulpy piece but that's natural even in fresh mango. So one bite and you get tart then heat and finally sweet. They are great and I am already ordering more because it took almost a month to get them. Some people are going to love these while others might not, so beware.

The media could not be loaded. If you grew up eating mango and chili as I did, you might not like this candy as it doesn't have the same flavor profile. Though the "mango" ( if that's even what it is) Is dried it's overly sweet and has this candied like texture as if it was candied. The chili has real good spice, not too hot or mild and has a slight kick at the end however it lacks salt and lime juice as it claims to have. Overall it doesn't have that cohesive, layered sweet, spicy, salty, tangy flavor that I grew up enjoying, instead it taste like mango gummy candy with chili powder and cayenne pepper. If anyone is interested try soley, the brand could be found at wholefoods, they have dried mango and pineapple I personally think they both taste better than these, the pineapple happens to be better tasting than mango to me. However,nothing trumps fresh fruit, with tajin and chamoy, I personally would suggest just getting fruity chamoy and tajin and in season fruit when you can, it's nothing like it.

These are habit forming bites of goodness that are a nice break from normal dried mango slices which are also habit forming.They are an excellent value for your hard earned but easily spent dollar and good for you to boot!These are not too sweet and also not too hot and had they been on the menu for the three bears when Goldilocks invaded their home would have been approved as “Just right!” By the baby bear.

I don’t recommend this brand at all, I buy dry mango often from amazon and this is the first time that I bought this one and it taste really bad.

This item was priced in the middle of all of it’s competitors for it’s given amount. Overall, the taste and freshness is great. I would buy this product again.
