Good Jigsaw Failed Escape
Hard to rate since there was good and bad. Really liked the jigsaw, but the escape room aspect was a meh.The jigsaw alone gets 4-stars in my book. Fun and creative with the circular elements. This puzzle does have a LOT of green to finish the edges which got a tad boring, and I inadvertently assembled the solution by accident before getting the clues. The Escape room/riddle part is where it sort of falls apart. Seems like all of these Ravensburg Escape jigsaws lack creativity with the riddles. The instructions for the solution wheel are totally obtuse. It was frustrating figuring out how to proceed. I contacted the manufacturer for instructions, and they responded with a useless promo video. ;( I did figure it out eventually, and yes- the solution was a letdown.Hits to make it easier for anyone buying this- 1) Do not remove the smallest center puzzle as instructed. You need it for a riddle. 2) Ignore the innermost row of symbols when figuring out the 3-symbol codes. You'll get more than one answer, but only one will line up or make sense.Also- this puzzle was missing 3 pieces. It was definitely in its original sealed packaging and I did not loose any. Ravensburg sent me a free replacement when I emailed them about it.

Decent puzzle to build, totally failed as an escape room
First, we love puzzles and escape rooms, at home and in person. Three experienced adults and some kid help pieced this puzzle in 2.5 hours. We skimmed the longest short story ever to launch an escape room on the website- it isn’t included in the box. And then the comedy that was trying to interpret the directions on how to use the disk, or after deciding what mystery to look at, how to go about finding the hidden answer to that mystery. After using a solution to help figure out the disk, we could successfully apply our disk skills, even if some of the mysteries were a huge stretch to decode (we failed completely but laughed so hard). I can picture the gamesmith coming up with *the best idea ever* and waving off any beta testing in the rush straight to production with this doozy. 3/5 difficulty is wrong. Like an odometer cycling through to a reset, this is 8/5 difficulty. I’m considering donating it with a huge user warning. Have fun failing!

Multiple Missing Pieces!
We enjoyed putting together all of the Ravensburger escape puzzles and solving the riddles, but both the London AND Rome Escape the Puzzles had multiple missing pieces!

Missing chunk
We love escape puzzles, and had a lot of fun with this one, but we were disappointed to find a large (contiguous) chunk of about 20 pieces missing. We contacted Ravensburger directly - hopefully they can assist.

Fun puzzle, horrible riddles
My wife and I have loved doing Ravensburgers Exit puzzles. We have bought several and tell all our friends about them. We got this one as a fun twist using circular puzzles. The puzzle was enjoyable, but be warned: the riddles and the decoder disk are completely flawed. Even if you have the right answer to the riddle, there is no way to possibly guess which number, letter, shape, or color you should be looking for. It took the fun out of the riddles. I wouldn’t recommend this puzzle unless you want to just do the puzzle and throw the decoder disk in the trash. Even when we heavily used the websites hints to tell us which piece we should be looking for the solution pieces didn’t fit together nicely and the printing must have been mismatched because it didn’t look like the solution they showed. Very disappointing.

"Escape the Circle" Mystery Is Inscrutable
I really enjoyed doing the jigsaw portion of this puzzle. It was challenging, but I enjoyed figuring it out. Then it was time to do the "Escape the Circle" portion. Instructions on how to use the four-level circle with symbols on it were extremely confusing. I read them repeatedly and finally asked a friend to help me. We figured out what they meant as best we could. But there are NO CLUES as to what you're supposed to be looking for on the puzzle to figure out the answers. For example (no spoilers here), in one instance you have to look at a series of words, figure out which letters in the words also represent numbers, then add the numbers from one word up, add the numbers from another word up, subtract the second number from the first, and that's the number you use on the wheel. NOW HOW IN THE CAT HAIR WAS I SUPPOSED TO EVEN ARRIVE AT THAT POSSIBILITY??? And even when you've figured that out, you still have to figure out whether each arrow is pointing at a number, a letter, a shape, or a color. (HINT: Each one may be pointing at all four.) And you're not done yet. With no clues, no starting point, even as much as to say, "Start by looking at the ___ in the picture," it seems to me the possibility of figuring out the circle-puzzle is--not "well-nigh impossible," but actually IMPOSSIBLE! And this was even after looking at the website and following the tips there.Very disappointing. But, if you want to pay 25 bucks just to do the puzzle, have at it--that's enjoyable.
