I recently purchased the Inkbird Wireless Pool Thermometer, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my pool maintenance routine. I order this pool thermometer in June if this year. Works great and is made of tough plastic recently it stopped working. I contacted customer support, they send a response the next day requesting information and a feel pictures of the item, by the next day I received an email stating they were sending me a whole new unit. It arrived the every next day. In todays world this type of service is unmatched. Highly recommend this product.

LOVE the convenience of being able to see the pool temp in my kitchen and not having to go out and check it multiple times in a day to see if it was warm enough to swim. Easy to set up and get linked, the display accurately reflects what the pool float shows as the temp. HOWEVER, we discovered over the weekend on 7/23 that the temperature was not accurate. When I first got it on June 21, I got it right in the pool and checked it multiple times a day against another trusted thermometer to verify and it WAS accurate at first, so I trusted it.This past weekend we didn't go out and swim on Saturday because the temp was showing as barely over 80. We have had some cooler nights even though it was hot during the day, I thought it must not have been enough to heat up the water.Sunday afternoon we had family over to swim and I warned them the water might be chilly because the temp was showing as 80.4 in mid afternoon. Once they got in they assured me it was great and not chilly at all. I was surprised so I double checked with my trusted thermometer and a laser style thermometer and sure enough, the floating pool thermometer was several degrees below the accurate temperature.I tried to contact the seller but found it impossible to get through the amazon chat assistant who only wanted to tell me my 30 day return time was over; to the seller. I am disappointed because I do love the convenience of this so much, but I need it to be accurate. A couple degrees makes a BIG difference in swim comfort.

While I LOVE the ability to check the pool temperature from the kitchen, I do have a couple complaints about the unit. First and foremost - the pool probe is not 100% waterproof. The little holes in the 'chimney' will allow water inside the unit, and get the electronics wet as it passes by. I have since sealed the holes in the chimney with silicone caulk, but by then the insides had already developed rust. Any situation where the chimney might get wet could cause water to get inside. Rain, trapped under the solar cover, or swallowed by the skimmer. All three have happened, including just regular submersion because reasons like the kids were making waves. So the inside is rusty, now. Additionally, it can't even agree with itself. As you can see here, I had the pool unit on the kitchen table to dry out after a battery change. Note that despite being at the same temperature for well over an hour, the probe has the house at 71 degrees and the base unit says the house it at 75 degrees. So, the house is actually 71 degrees - which I confirmed with our Nest thermostat is the correct temperature. Additionally, sometimes the pool probe simply loses connection with the base unit and the base unit needs the batteries yanked for a few seconds in order to reconnect. While I like this little unit a lot, I do wish I could LOVE it.

Using this pool thermometer in my hydroponic water reservoir, it works great!The wireless hub is a nice bonus, it reads the pool sensor from afar as well as its own interior temps/humidity.Both sensors are accurate and waterproofed!

Comes with a remote sensor so we can easily tell what the pool temp is while we are in our home. This has a better seal on it so it has been watertight since spring. It is also easy to read the temp when out by the pool.

The idea of checking the pool temperature from inside the house is great. But the first one got water inside and stopped working after 3 months. I took it apart, dried it off, and changed the batteries but to no avail.Since this was now after Amazon's return policy, they helped me reach out to the seller and after a kindly discussion, they sent me a new one. So far, the new one is working.

I saw that some people had problems with water inside the unit. That was easily solved by vacuum sealing the unit with my Seal-A-Meal. It works perfectly!
