I bought this because my mother has MS and mobility issues. We raised her motorized scooter seat to make it easier for her to get in and out of bed but that left the toilet seat to low.We had a 4 inch riser before this one that we got at a local drugstore. This one is truly taller and exactly what we needed.The plastic is very sturdy and easy to clean. I was skeptical when I took it out of the packaging but it really works. It cannot just sit on the toilet, you have to use the clamps but the clamps are clamping! Our shorter riser had a tendency to slide no matter how much we clamped it. This seat is not going anywhere.It's been very helpful in the few weeks we've had it and it serves us purpose very well for my house.Update: We've had this for several months now and it works great. Even the lid is still going strong and is vast and dignified improvementover every other riser we've ever had that didn't come with a lid. I am able to sit on it without breaking it. And even my kids who are destroyers of everything have not found a way to destroy this. I am donating one to a friend who is having surgery and I feel very confident saying this is what they need!

This design will work very well for me. The fit is very secure to the toilet bowl….safe! No shifting around. Also easy to clean. I like that it has a lid to “control odor”. The 6 inch height is perfect.

My very tall husband has bad knees and most toilets are too low for him to easily get up and down. When he learned he was going to require heart surgery, we knew that grab bars weren't going to be an option so I shopped for toilet seat risers. This one was perfect. First, I don't have to remove the existing toilet seat and lid. This one sits down on my oval shaped toilet and clamps with two screws on the side. At first I thought it wasn't going to stay put and be unstable but when I loosened the screws on the sides just a little, it became very stable. This seat is taller than most of the ones I've seen advertised so this was a real plus for my husband. I put it on a newer, taller toilet and had to add a stool for the short people (me) in the house. If you have standard toilets, this will be perfect to give the average person a little height so they can easily get up and down. It's easy to clean, has it's own lid and doesn't look too bad.

Works perfectly, just wish it was more stable on toilet. It does slide easily.

This item did NOT work for me. Thought that it was stable enough to use an item that had no handles. But this oroved to be its downfall.With a shift of weight while sitting, the seat becomes loosened form toilt and shifts off causing you to possibly lose balance and put weight where it was not supposed to go. So if uou are !00#'s or so, maybe. But at 240#, not good.

Sturdy, easily installed, I was able to get up on very weak legs.

The lid is flimsy. It broke after about a month

I wasn’t too sure about this toliet seat riser when I saw how I was supposed to attach it to my wife’s toilet bowl. My wife (because of her physical disability) tends to just “plop” on her toliet seat, so I needed a sturdy design, and much to my surprise IT DID attach securely, and was very easy to install! The overall comfort and stability of this seat garners it a FIVE STAR rating!
