Great value, good sturdy lock. Paper is quality and the pen it comes with is great as well. Leather is high quality and internally it has some pockets you can slide some paperwork into if needed. Purchasing again! Highly recommend buying this item.

1st of all this journal is beautiful and heavy duty. Comes with two ribbon book marks. The pen very nice! So I was so disappointed when upon following the instructions the lock wouldn’t work. I wanted this to be able to privately write down my goals so the lock is very important to me. I came to the reviews and saw someone mentioned a YouTube video would help reset the lock. Hold the latch to the right side and put your new numbers in and release. No it’s not the most secure option but it works for what I need it for. The instructions that come with it are invalid if someone has already tinkered with the journal. Try what I mentioned or look up - reset journal lock on YouTube. This is probably one of the best, most beautiful journals I have ever had. And did I mention the pin is spectacular!!!!

UPDATE. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4 because the seller saw my review and offered either a refund or partial compensation due to the difficulty I had with the lock. I am not accepting either offer because the journal itself is beautiful and very well-made. I will keep it, even if I don't lock it. Once bitten, twice shy, but other than the lock, it's everything I wanted. I commend the sellers for reaching out. Thank You! ORIGINAL POST: Love the color. Well made, nice ribbon bookmark and decent lined paper. Haven't used their pen yet. Prefer my own. However, the lock proved to be a pain in the a... Followed instructions on how to set the lock, and how to reset the lock if locked out - at least I thought I did. Trying to find those pinholes is a joke. No luck. FINALLY got it to work after MUCH aggravation, reading reviews for help, watching YouTube videos, trial and error, etc. I may never lock it again so I don't have to chance going through the torment again, which defeats the purpose of a locking journal. It is lovely, but buy with caution, and reconsider how well you like your friend if considering this as a gift. Do you want to put them through the lock torment? Still, it is a very nice journal.

I like the journal a lot, it is beautiful and once it is locked, it is surely locked! I had an issue with the journal and the seller was able to provide feedback that helped fix my issue (forgotten passcode) as well as offering to assist in other ways, if the solution did not work for me! AMAZING customer service to go along with a beautiful and secure journal, you truly cannot ask for more!

Okay, literally the only problem I have with it is the fact that I can't buy the pen separately when it runs out. And that does sick 'cause I have literally never loved a pen so much in my life lmaoAnyways, this journal is literally a 10/10!!!!EVERYONE should have something this nice! Even the size is perfect! And the quality of the lock and material?!!! Perfection 👌 and the paper is nice too! It honestly feels wayyy more expensive than it is!100% would recommend this product!!!

It was hard even for me to open— on the bright side, at least you know no one is going to get into it if you can’t even do it. (I’m only half joking ofc) I love its design, but I couldn’t reset the password from 000 to the password I wanted. Somehow, I could only reset the password from 002, which was odd. And it took me 40 damn minutes to figure out. But other than that, it’s… fine. I’d recommend a more functional one.

I bought this book for my daily journal. It looks better in real life than in the pictures. I would order this again.
