I bought this product sometime ago. I was in a full time caring role with my beloved mum and her Dementia meant she kept “thinking” she needed to go to the toilet, mostly on false trips. Going up and down stairs in her late 80s was not on so I bought this product. Okay firstly it does not look like a commode and just blended into the lounge furniture. Secondly it is well made and sturdy. Easy to use and clean. Thirdly it was a godsend to me and my poor old mum.Regrettably mum has now died and I had an intense period of grieving. I am just getting my life back together and I have just reviewed a book I bought on rebuilding your life after a full time caring role ends. Whilst doing so I suddenly realised I had not reviewed this product. Well I am now. Not sexy, not what every pensioner wants, but by god it did the trick for me and mum. If you ever need a commode type product this one is quite basic eg you cannot raise the height up or down, etc, but it is a good quality product in terms of being well made. Basic but good as mum would have said. Does what it said on the tin would be my words.

I bought this for after I had major hip surgery, it was helpful and didn’t look out of place. I don’t need it now so I gave it away.

For years I complained about not having a downstairs loo, and would often have to use the garden crouching by our shed and thankfully unseen by neighbours. This went on for years. It was only when my friend suggested I get a commode that I checked items on Amazon. I didn't want the house to look like a hospital even though I have diverticulitis, so I decided to buy this weave loom chair. It is perfect for my needs. The seat is comfy as it's padded and all you need to do is lift the lid off, line the bowl with powder bags and it's ready to double up as a toilet! It's comfy, convenient and stylish. (I would recommend getting some powder bags, as it makes it easier to lift out the contents and dispose of them, rather than wash the bowl every time, but it's a personal choice). It has made my life so much easier and I could not be happier! I am so chuffed with my purchase and wish I had bought it sooner. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs an extra loo as it's perfect.

The best thing about this commode is that it does not look like a commode. It is adequate for its purpose, does not look out of place, is light and easy to clean. Close inspection may reveal that its finish is not perfect and that the light woven fabric may not be very tough, but it is stable, safe and fine in a bedroom and is a great help to us. Also, thanks to Amazon Prime, we had it when we needed it -- the very next day.

This was such a good buy for my mother. At first glance it looks nothing like a commode, which was important to her. It is light but sturdy enough. We did make sure it was wedged against a heavy piece of furniture just to be sure it would not tip over but we need not have worried. The bowl does need two hands to empty it.....the design means it is a bit wobbly and you definitely could not carry just by handle as that would mean a spillage. But once you are used to it it is a very good choice

You would not know it is a commode. Smart looking with comfortable padded seat to use as a bedside tub chair. Very pleased with my purchase.

If you read the comments you will note that this chair comes with visible staples. I bought some gimp braid and upholstery glue and stuck the braid around the middle of the chair and this completely disguises the problem and looks great. It's a basic product, yes. However the next chair cost another £300 more and I, for one, refuse to be taken to the cleaners for necessary products. This chair is perfectly adequate for all my needs.Not only is it solid and stays where it is put, but it looks like a bedroom chair. You could place a fluffy cushion over the plastic cover on the seat, if you wished to - up to you. I don't. I am really very pleased with my purchase. And I'd recommend it.

Very well made and really nice looking.Easy portable between rooms.Easy to keep clean and unobtrusive if someone visits.It makes life so much easier, than trying to rush my husband to the bathroom, in a wheelchair.Would highly recommend
