5.1 surround
I wanted to create the 5.1 surround sound home theatre experience. This process is a bit confusing with the Roku brand audio products.I have a 75” TCL brand Roku operating system equipped smart LCD TV. With any smart TV with the Roku operating system or an actual Roku Brand TV, the process is the same. These TV models can only support 2 WIRELESS bluetooth audio devices at once. (But the SoundBar Pro, which is not wireless, can support more, read to the end…).The Roku brand WIRELESS sound bar is 1 device, a pair of Roku wireless speakers is treated like 1 device (a second set, 4 total speakers, is also an additional 1 device) and any Roku wireless subwoofer is also 1 device. You can connect 1 WIRELESS sound bar (front channels) and 1 subwoofer, no rear channels.OrYou can connect 1 pair of wireless speakers (rear channels) and 1 WIRELESS sound bar (front channels), no subwoofer.OrYou can connect 1 pair of speakers (front channels) and 1 subwoofer. But I want 5.1 surround…If you want 5.1 surround like me, you’ll need to get the Roku Sound Bar Pro (not wireless), 2 sets (4 total speakers) of Roku wireless speakers, and one of the Roku wireless subwoofers (they have two; a standard 10” and a slim subwoofer thats a 5.25”).I have the slim version so it fits into my entertainment console and my room is appx 25’x40’ and its only on setting #3 and it rattles the room! With that configuration, all 6 speakers can be connected (Roku sound bar pro is the center channel, the 4 wireless speakers are your front left, front right, rear left, rear right, and the Roku wireless subwoofer is last. The Roku Sound Bar Pro is connected to the TV via HDMI-ARC, and acts like an A/V Receiver that all the other speakers connect directly to via BlueTooth; NOT directly to the TV itself. The sound quality is EXCELLENT and the setup process is SUPER simple, once you have the correct devices you want, based on the setup your trying to create, its a theatre sound level experience!Awesome sound quality, nice speakers, easy connections, very few wires, NO sound lag = AWESOME!All speakers have an individual power wire, so consider that when buying (my 5.1 surround setup (6 speakers) needs 6 wall outlets in different places). The Roku Sound Bar Pro is connected to the TV via 1 HDMI-ARCAll speakers come with their power wires. The Roku Sound Bar Pro also comes with an HDMI cable, a optical audio cable, and a new Roku voice remote and with remote sound via ear buds, included.I love Roku brand remotes; super simple to use, they have 2 main styles ( infrared and RF frequency) and as long as you match up the right one to your TV, they are very interchangeable and easy to pair.It really feels like Roku was trying hard to make great sound, for several customer space configurations, and a very easy setup with very few wires. They SUCCEEDED.Both the Roku WIRELESS sound bar and Roku sound bar pro sounded really great for just a sound bar only.Adding the other speaker elements I did, just raised the bar a notch higher with each speaker.Granted, Roku is a bit pricy when compared to other brands, but with the simplicity and ease of setup, plus their support…. Its a great value.

Works great with JVC-Roku’s proprietary tv.
Five stars for the function, connectivity and sound quality. 1 star for the compatibility nonsense they created.Apparently not many sound bars work with Roku tv’s due to the software locking out or hobbling the eARC port making connecting any other brand sound bar erratic at best, even though the same sound bar worked perfectly on a Vizio and Samsung tv’s without issue. Nor can you use Bluetooth to connect your sound bar as the wireless is only programmed to work with genuine Roku branded sound bars or speakers. You can use optical but then you have to juggle remotes. Nice Job Roku! Did you take lessons from Sony and kill compatibility standards? Ok, so that aside, mating this bar to the tv works flawlessly and almost installs itself which adds insult to injury on the tv software’s inability to follow eARC standards but again that aside, it works awesome and sounds great. If the tv dies, you can use this Roku sound bar as a doorstop cause you’d have to be nuts to buy another Roku tv and get trapped into the same proprietary nonsense again just to use this Roku sound bar which will most likely outlast the tv and won’t work with any other non Roku tv. My advise? Stick with a Roku player added to a quality name brand tv like Samsung, LG or Vizio then you can pick your sound bar and other accessories. Short sighted sales thinking on Roku’s part. Fire the suit that suggested this idea and waterboard the one that approved it. They made “standards” for a reason Roku! Follow them!

Dialogue enhancement is excellent
I used to have to watch movie w remote in hand to increase and decrease volume to hear speaking but then quiet the cinematic action. Was very frustrating. This solved that problem. No longer having to toggle volume between 14 - 23 now can get all the dialogue and action while set at 12.Game changer...can enjoy my movies. Also easy setup!!

The only option available
As far as the soundbar is concerned, it's a pretty decent product. And nothing could be easier to connect to your Roku TV. The problem is you can ONLY connect a Roku brand soundbar or speakers to your Roku TV.I had just purchased a pair of Bose Soundlink+ II Bluetooth speakers, and was really looking forward to listening to movies through them. Not gonna happen with Roku, as you are locked into their products, and only their's!It's very convenient the way the controls for the speaker are integrated into the TV. If your speaker is connected via Bluetooth, then you just turn on your TV and the audio automatically comes through your soundbar. No going to the settings, etc. And the sound is pretty decent.Certainly much better than the TV speakers. But, it would be really nice to have some options to connect another brand of speakers. At the very least Roku should offer some upgraded versions of their own.I'll live with what I have, and enjoy it for now. But my next TV will not be a Roku branded one unless they change their monopoly on the types of speakers you can use.

Great sound, easy to set up.
The Roku soundbar has a great sound for the money. Overall a 5 star value. I rated it as 4 star only because it does not have booming bass, and it only allows you to connect one other sound device to your tv. You can add a subwoofer which gives great bass, OR you can add speakers for rear sound, not both. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and begin using. Setup couldn't be easier.

Roku Sound Bar
This product works with a Roku TV. The sound bar is very easy to setup with easy directions to follow. The directions said hold the home button for 5 seconds to start wireless connection. I went to settings and setup the sound bar. Great sound, love it!

Great sound and extremely easy to hook up
Always a little skeptical of wireless hook ups, but this thing connected and works flawlessly.

Puts the sound where you need it. That way you don't need the TV up so loud.
Puts the sound where you need it. That way you don't need the TV up so loud. Takes up very little space.
