Motorcycle Blank Key Blank Uncut Key Motorbike Duplicate Key Replacement for Harley Davidson (Random Color)

I have a 1999 XL1200S and this key is pretty much an exact duplicate of the OEM key. I can't speak for newer models but it fits the 90s sportsters like a glove.I was concerned it would have been too short after reading the comments but it's identical as far as the exterior dimensions.

didn't work for my sportster

The cost was great and so was shipping. I took it to my local hardware and they cut it for me. I originally bought a key from them but it didn't fit. After having this key cut I found it would not fit in my HD ignition switch either. The cut and groves looked identical to my original key. I realized that it was the thickness of the key preventing it from going into my switch. I used a fine cross cut file gently on both flat surfaces of the key to thin it down. That did the trick! For whatever reason the key was just thicker than my original, but it wasn't obvious just to look at them. Incidently, after doing the same thing on the key from my local hardware that key also fit and turns just fine.

This key works on an ignition for 2007 Sportster 1200c and I was able to carve the grooves out using a Dremel it works perfect

There seem to be mixed reviews, so I took a chance. The thin and thick grooves are reversed compared to both my 2016 and 2022 Harley Iron 883 keys. Make sure your keys match. One small complaint is the random color received. I would have preferred black. Having the option to choose the color would be nice.
