Glee - Season 1-6 [DVD]

The creator of the show once said in an interview that he wanted to make a show that had a happy ending at the end of every episode. They definatly acoplished that and that's why I love it because it's so full of everything they do have serious storylines such as bulling, homephobia, crazy ex wife's, OLD, being different which is kind of the theme, coming out, Kurt dad, glee covers many issues of the glee kids as well as the teachers, and pulling on the heart strings teary moments but for the most part it's energetic and feel good.I loved glee from the moment i saw the first advert on tv and it didnt disappoint its one of my fave shows the first season is by far the best, and all the songs and musical scenes are great and sung by great singers, i love how the main cast were practically unheard actor/singers they are all so talented, it is what it is a musical comedy drama, great characters with great storylines and what I like about it is its not something you will go out of, I was born the same year as the original glee club characters maybe that's why I truly relate to them. And it's definitely something you would watch more than once.For ages now I've been missing glee particularly that it's not on TV anymore, and I'd only watched the first 3 seasons on TV until they stopped showing glee outside of sky I was so bummed then they viewed season 3 on a year later and it was on really late, so for a while I slightly went of off glee I have no idea why, but I was still listening to the CDs I had as well has all the downloaded songs I had and now and then watching youtube videos and interviews.But lately I was thinking of glee mainly cus there's a bunch of s.h.i.t on TV and I wanted something decent, so I started watching my glee dvd but I was only the first have of season 1, so I brought this box set I don't know why it took me so long, I'm glad a brought the whole box set it is a very good price, the songs did become too slow and depressing and not enough of the higher energy songs but the acting, talent and storylines never fail, and they still had up beat songs they just weren't the majority.I do feel that the pacing feels wrong in season 3 like the kids grew up too fast (I know they're a lot older in real life) but their senior year just had this feeling of ending almost all the way through and it just feels like that season was dragged out but went too fast, and there wasn't a big enough gap between sectionals, regionals, nationals and graduation. It didnt make me hate it though.The episode 'props' in S3 I think it's called where Tina feel bumped her head and had a dream that she was Rachel, and everyone else switched places is probably one of the best episodes, but it shouldve been a double it was so funny and there acting as each other is spot on, especially santana as artie and quinn as Sugar, it was so funny I kept wondering who was playing puck I couldn't work it out until the special features that it was blane lol, watching the special features made me think that episode shouldve been a double because it would be nice to see more and where cory said 'hi I'm Kurt Hummel' he sounded just like him but his outfit was weird he looked like an old fashioned british detective all he needed was a magnifying glass, didn't look like something Kurt would wear but the episode was so funny and a good episode to break up the pass so it didn't go too fast to end.I am so glad that glee continued even after they graduated, and still included the original cast, and through out no one was forgotten despite not being in it much for some characters, I loved the back and forth between mickinly high and new York. I am also glad that they kept half of the glee kids in glee for season 4 without it being typical, I'm glad they didn't do a half of the group failed senior year and have to repeat and the other half were juniors they kept everyone in the show without being cheesey and unrealistic, I actually love how they shown the next chapters of their lifes.One of the most serious episodes was "shooting star" this episode was so strong done mainly on the floor of the choir room and is the episode with the least amount of songs it only has 3 which I think proves the glee is not just about singing and dancing and popularity difficulties.I love how they still included struggles in season 4 that things don't always go smoothly after high school and how you expect them all to be living the life they're still working towards it.The songs are mostly great I love particularly the original cast group numbers and you can pick out their individual voices. The song in the thanksgiving episode made me think of the quinn and finn ship that hug when they saw each other when they were singing looked so cute and special. This show has one of the best chemistry on screen and off whether it's the relationships of the friendships like Sam and blaine, Rachel and Kurt, finn and puck love them all, this show makes you excited.Loved the glee newbies it's good that they were equally included, I wish they were still in season 6, can't say I dig the S6 glee club (though I only have two disks left I don't know who else will join). There's been over 20 glee kids and they were all referred to and mentioned even when they left, I love all the individual lines as well as the groups. That's another thing why glee is different is that nothing is forgotten as the seasons go by for example it's not like quinn got pregnant and they we forgot about it like it never happened. Speaking of quinn she looks so much better and young with longer hair S6 quinn hair is awfully distracting.I wish that not every season had to represent a year especially the layout of season 5 I reckon S6 shouldve been 6 months later rather than a year,I will conclude this review by saying R.I.P Cory (Finn) who died 3years and 2 days ago (i was meant to write this review 2days ago) I believe he us actually one of the best male voices out there I love watching youtube videos and interviews of him because he seems so fun and down to earth and a happy good person I think I was. He was one of the first celeb deaths that really got to me. The tribute episode is very sad and will have you crying all the way through, even when sue made a joke and said she planted the memorial tree 'right where she found finn and quinn fondling each others breasts' with tears down my face I was laughing out loud it was good to remind us what glee is, people hating the fact they didn't reveal a cause of death I think if you know that the actor died in real life you'll understand, I think the episode was a great respectful tribute but will be hard to watch again and again.I'm glad glee continued after his death because it shows how the world keeps going after a lived ones passing.

After watching Glee on TV, I decided to buy the DVDs. They came very quickly and are quite compact so although there are 6 series they don't take up too much space. The only issue I have is that on series 2, if you want subtitles you have to select them from the main menu as it doesn't seem to let you have them by clicking the subtitles button on your DVD remote - but apart from that very pleased.For people who haven't seen glee this is a good TV show to watch if you like a light heated comedy with a musical aspect to it. They sing lots of well known songs, most of which you can buy as Glee soundtrack CDs.

I was so excited to find this box set and at such an amazing price, what can I say I love glee mainly for the songs and the feel good factor it gives you I was so sad when the show ended but happy now because I can re watch again and again I would recommend this box set to anyone for any age as there is a mix of songs and characters and highly funny, it makes me laugh and cry its everything I could want in a TV show. The box set came well packaged in perfect order and very quickly.

The item came in normal packaging and quite swiftly, though it was delivered from UK to Germany. The product was in perfect condition and is now sitting on my shelf ready to be watched.I love this TV show, though I have only watched the first two seasons, so I am now super excited to watch the rest. The adaptions of popular songs is fantastic, especially since I have loved to sing in a choir while in school, so I feel like I can specially relate to the characters of the show. Definetely recommended :)

Incredibly glad that it came in time, the woman who delivered it was nice and pleasant.Only one small thing that is bothering me, one of my cases (containing Seasons 1-3) won't shut properly. I'm not sure if this is a packaging error, or if it happened during the opening of it (I was quite hasty upon opening it). Either way, I'm happy with my item and am looking forward to watching the series from the beginning!
