did what I wanted
I liked the tabs on these barrel hinges, it was easy to weld onto a 2 3/8" pipe and used two of them on a 14' gate made of 2" pipe so hoping they hold up but look very good and better than some i have used in the past

Inferior metals in the hinges when welding
Not just mild steel, they don’t weld clean to mild steel with 6011 or 7018. They melt and run like there’s some other metals/fillers in them.

Hard to install
These hinges are very loose inside and therefore installation is very difficult, if you have little experience, don’t even try, there will be problems. Would not bey ever again.
