Best system i have used for quick, easy filtration. You do have to put a little effort in when pressing down the bottle. DONT FORGET TO OPEN THE MOUTH PIECE TO MAKE IT FLOW!

Last thing you want out in the wilderness are parasites! If you don't have the ability to boil your water then GRAYL's all-in-one water purification container is the answer. This filter is the heart of GRAYL's GeoPress and according to their website removes "waterborne pathogens (99.99% of viruses, 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.9% of protozoan cysts), including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery and more" to include "particulates (i.e. silt, microplastics, etc.); activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, flavors, and odors." I have used it at home and in the field and it has lived up to my expectations.

YMMV with longevity for these filters but if you're filtering water mostly from reasonably clear streams, lakes and ponds these filters last for years. I use mine several times a week and am just now replacing the filter after almost three years...not because it stopped working, but because it was getting more difficult to push water thru it. The old filter still did its job..it was just taking longer to do it. This is the best water filter you can buy, IMHO. Absolutely love the thing. It's been dropped on rocks, banged around and has lots of dings, but it's performance has not diminished one bit.

I love these filters, and bottle. I take it camping and when I go out of the country and I never have to worry about the water quality.

Although I haven't used my bottle and the 3 xtra filters I purchased, this company has a ton of reviews from people using their filters all over the world. The filter seems to take out everything possible from water. Some large water tanks I'm in charge of got E-coli in them, and I called Customer Service to see if the Grayl would filter it. He went the absolute extra mile to answer my question, so the Customer Service alone, along with all the good reviews, makes this a good company, and I trust this product with my life (literally).

We love these. We go camping and these are a lifesaver. They are easy to care for, lightweight and highly practical. I highly recommend to anyone wanting something for ease and safety. Very quick, practical and healthy.
