A BRILLIANT Board Game For Kids To Easily Learn How To Code!
This is an exceptional product!!As technical support analyst & instructor for over 20 years, I understand the importance of technology now and widespread influence in all careers in the near future. Without a doubt, children getting a solid understanding of computers and feeling comfortable and confident interacting with them will be a must as they grow older. The CoderBunnyz board game is a great tool for kids to get this understanding whether they are young or older.First we found the product was designed very well! The game board, game pieces and game cards have all had a lot of thought and quality put into them.It is amazingly easy to begin playing once the game is setup. Our son is diagnosed with high functioning ASD/Aspergers; and within minutes were were playing multiple rounds of the game--he loved it! (he gave it "3 thumbs up!").The game gently eases players into the basic ideas and fundamentals of coding with fun game play. Then, as the player's understanding increases, they move on to the next level. No computers or tablets are needed to play, just learn and have fun! Finally, a note about "coding". This game can play a big role in helping even younger kids to understand the basic ideas of computer coding. As adults who aren't coders, we could assume this would be too difficult for our kids, because computer coding has been too difficult for most of us. But we tend to over-complicate technical things, (when was the first time we saw a 2 year old pick up a mobile device and almost immediately understand how to use it?)We found with the CoderBunnyz board game, you don't need to be a computer "guru" to understand how to play. It is easy to learn and begin playing,(For an example: IF I "hop" my bunny game piece up to a fence too high to hop over, THEN I must hop either left or right to go around it. We don't need to focus on this being an "IF, THEN statement". Just have fun hopping around fences and over puddles to collect our carrot and then off to our destination!).The game is acceptable for ages 4 to 104 years of age, so adults may be surprised at how much they can learn too!

Really good game
Honestly this was a great game for multiple reasons. The pieces were all pretty good quality and the game was actually really an interesting take on learning some of the basics of programming logic without having to get to technical. The game is about being able to put together multiple if this then that's to achieve the goal. Honestly I thought it was a well designed game. I think it is a fun game for kids especially if you want to get them started with some of the core concepts of logic that define how computers interact with the world. Also the instructions were really well put together and more then adaquetly explained how to play the game. There were also different levels of playing for different skill levels of people allowing for a lot of fun whether you are playing with your kids or not.Overall I think that this would be a great game for just about any household. There are a lot of great concepts that can be learned from this game that will help create foundations for kids as they grow older or even adults that just want a more basic introduction to computer science then what is gennerally offered online.

Coder Bunnyz is a great accessible game to introduce young children to the basics ...
Coder Bunnyz is a great accessible game to introduce young children to the basics of coding and to develop coding skills in older children. I introduced it to my 6-year-old and he picked right up on the concept of planning the movement of his bunny. As a beginning player, he did benefit from some coaching, as well as the Bug-Fixit! Token to undo a move that would not have worked. We played through level 1.1 and 1.2 which is the most simplistic and introduces the sequence cards and the jump card.Having thirteen variants of play included within the four basic levels allows the game to scale with the age and skill level of the players. This makes it challenging and engaging for players of all levels. One thing we noticed while playing Coder Bunnyz was game board was bumped frequently causing the tiles to shift. This happened more while playing with younger players, though we were able to fix the board easily. Players who struggle with fine or gross motor skills may find the tiles shifting frustrating if the game board is bumped.Coder Bunnyz also has a strong educational benefit. It introduces the basics of coding in a friendly and accessible format. Younger beginning players benefit from coaching and direct instruction on the best way to program the motion of their bunny. Older and more experienced players can create greater challenges with the board layout to refine their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. For any family or teacher looking to introduce the fundamentals of coding, Coder Bunnyz provides a wonderful tool. With the focus in education on problem-solving and STEM it is critical to support children in developing reasoning and planning skills. Coder Bunnyz is a tool that can help children develop skills that will be an asset to them in school and beyond.

Fun but a little basic
This game is fun and does help teach programming but the artwork is a little basic. the idea structure is also a little basic. Some games can pull that off well, this one did not in my opinion. That being said my kids do enjoy it more than I anticipated they would. I would buy it again knowing what I know now, but just don't expect the artwork to be fancy and you won't be dissappointed.
