Good for Hand Quilting
While I have yet to use them for Sashiko embroidery, I tried using one for hand quilting. The point slipped through all three layers of my quilt sandwich effortlessly, and I didn't have to expend much effort with pulling the needle all the way out when I finished with my stitch sequence.I ordered some Bohin and John James needles to compare, but I'm going to add the Hidamari needles to my quilting needle collection. Highly recommended.

excellent product
I've tried other needles for Sashiko sewing and none are as good as these are. This is my third time ordering them (I have a habit of loosing needles - I don't know where they go but they disappear like socks in the washer and dryer) and will continue to order this brand. Excellent quality, heft, large eye, and very strong with very sharp needle points. Highly recommend.

These needles are just the right length and very sharp. Sews indigo cloth extremely well.
