Solid key worth the investment to protect important accounts.
They seem good quality and have been a good solution so far. It works well as both a hardware key and security key protected via a pin and physical presence. Ideally if you want to get rid of other authentication methods you. Need two incase you loose one. It's a shame there isn't a discounted 2 pack.

More security
Improves my security and is great value for money. It doesn’t play nice with iOS or iPadOS, with it not working with my devices. But this is an Apple issue not Yubico. Works fine with my PCs.

Secure,
Works well and enhances your security of passwords by integrating with your password manager application

Limited usefulness
Does what it claims to do perfectly, but the moment it's only usable on a relatively limited number of sites, so I'm not convinced that it offers significant advantages over using a PIN.

A great additional way to store passkeys.
With passkeys now becoming the way forward for account authentication, it's great to be able to create a backup for important accounts without relying on a PC or Phone, or handing over to Google etc. to replicate them. They are small and easy to use and also useful to act as an off-site backup in case of emergency loss of everything. The only downside I suppose is you really ought to have at least 2 of these and keep them both up to date. But at least they are not TOO expensive.

Couldn't get the Security Key to work. 5 NFC works flawlessly.
I bought one 'Yubikey 5 NFC' which works flawlessly. I then realised that I needed a backup key, so bought the 'Yubikey Security Key', which has less functionality, but does have the 2FA for authentication so should work as a backup.I spent a whole evening faffing about with it and I couldn't get it to generate codes, so I sent it back. I left it a while and forgot about it.Recently I had a few attempted security breaches on one of my email accounts, so I decided I'd buy another and retire the authenticator app and use the Yubikeys entirely.Well, another evening faffing around trying to get it work and again I just couldn't get it to generate codes, so I sent that one back and instead bought another 'Yubikey 5 NFC' again. It took me around 30 mins to set it up and it works fine. It generates codes every time, no issues.I don't know what it is with the 'Yubikey Security Keys', but nothing I tried worked, and I tried everything! The full functionality keys work fine once they're set up, but they are a lot more expensive. I managed to get another good deal as I did with my first one.As for the security aspect; there is no 100% secure system, but I feel this is better than an app that is installed on a device that could be compromised and only generates 6 digits. Yubikeys are completely isolated and can generate around 50 digits and can in itself be PIN Code protected, plus all the other security features available on the 5 NFC.I won't go into all that here as some of it I'm still figuring out and probably won't ever need as a general user. Some of the features are for enterprise users for company computers and entry systems, etc. These keys are independent of each other and not linked or cloned in any way, I'll add the new key as an additional one to each account Inhabe that supports them and PIN code it and stash it somewhere safe.

Great way to Fort Knox your online accounts
Very versatile and easy to set up. A great idea for a little bit of extra security with online accounts.Sometimes the NFC functionality can be patchy on iPhone but a few attempts normally does the trick.A little bit expensive for what it is, but the Security Key NFC version is cheaper due to lack of TOTP / Authenticator codes and other methods.

Appears good quality
Good quality FIDO2 authentication key. Note that the security key series doesn’t do TOTP and thus isn’t compatible with the iOS version of Yubico Authenticator app. You can use the desktop version of the app with the security key series to manage credentials. As with all FIDO2 keys you should have a minimum of 2 keys to have a backup in case you lose a key and permanently lock yourself out of your accounts!
