This thread is easy to pull through the eye of a needle, both because the wax holds the fibers together and because the wax provides lubrication. I used this thread to install a steering wheel cover because the provided thread snapped too easily. There was more than enough thread for a backstitch around both sides of the steering wheel cover and a straight stitch to pull the two sides together.The thread may or may not be too thick for mending most fabrics, but it will hold leather very tightly. The spool dispenses thread very easily, and cutting the thread to length does not produce terribly frayed ends. Even while the thread is strong it is also soft and comfortable. Overall this thread is very useful for leatherworking and will not break even if subjected to great force.

I have ordered the black and dark brown in the past I just ordered the light yellow. The waxed thread works great for what I use it for. The brown and black came with a needle but the light yellow did not. Just wanted to mention that

Pretty decent thread, but I find I still need to run it over my wax block once. Some people might like the slightly less wax thouh, so it is good to have the option. Bonus, it does come with a needle, and you can never have to many needles.

First step This Thread is no joke. I'm convinced that if a few strands were wrapped together you could kill somebody if you choke them with it. I've tried to pull it apart with my hands and literally cut my finger. I'm not saying it's sharp or dangerous, I'm just saying this is really durable stuff and I love it. I use it for all of my leather projects plus it's size makes it something you could quickly throw in a bug out bag, or take camping with you. I personally think it'd be great for an emergency fishing line if you needed it as it's waxed and therefore waterproof. Plus there's plenty of it here! I'd buy it again, 100%.
