These straps seem to work ok & are easy to use. They are a bit short though.

I wish I had made my own. Love my Hammock Bliss hammock and tarp and can highly recommend both pieces of kit. I cannot recommend their "Deluxe" straps. In the Hammock Bliss video on how to use them the presenter does not even do a complete wrap around the tree or cinch the buckle tight to the tree trunk, I strongly advise against doing this. Regardless of how tight I cinched them to the trunk they slipped down. Scary. Trust me. They need to be completely wrapped around the tree at least once. The straps are quite short so its hard to get them all the way around most trees, any tree with a circumference greater than a soccer ball is not going to work. That makes things difficult in the hardwood forests of the Ozarks. Under any kind of weight the straps bunch/gather in the low part of the buckle. This puts a lot of strain on the strap and would cause a lot of wear over a very short period of time. I do not have a lot of faith, really none, in the quality of the straps or the buckles. The straps just feel cheap, as do the buckles, which also have the appearance of being poorly made. They did come in a nice bag. Keep the bag, toss the straps.
