Bad faith company
Until it stopped working properly (just short of its first year), the robot vacuum worked very well. I was impressed with its ability to climb the walls and brush the tiles. However, a few months ago, it stopped working properly and only moved in tiny circles. I contacted customer service to see if they could offer a solution. After numerous attempts to reach them, they replied and stated the warranty had expired. I took a picture of the manual that clearly indicated it had a 2 year warranty. They replied, apologized, and stated they would be willing to offer a 20% refund. I didn't feel that was a fair solution given it was still under warranty, and asked for a better deal. They replied with a 30% refund. I declined believing the amount was also not a fair deal, and asked for a 40% refund at minimum. They refused and stopped replying to my inquiries. The company does not honor warranties, at least in my experience. I cannot recommend this product because the company failed to stand behind its own warranty.

Coming from a Dolphin , excellent customer service.
I had to go wireless, the dolphin was great but the "tangle free" cable was nothing of the sort. By the end of each run it was so tangled it was only about 8 ft long if that.So I picked up this seaauto Seal which right out of the box , this thing is impressive. When you lift it you can tell this thing was engineered to hell and back. I was worried because 1 review. Who cares I will be the crash test dummy right?Cleaning: This thing absolutely picks up more than the dolphin. I dont get how, but the basket was filled about 1/4 of the way with just like dirt or sand or something and I run the dolphin every day. There was literally mud in the basket.Battery Life: Well, needless to say it doesnt run for hours like the dolphin, but again I cant get over how much more this thing picks up. I would have to say that with the seaauto your going to forsake coverage for clean. It doesnt cover as much area due to the time the battery provides but that area is much much cleaner. I get I think about 1 - 1&1/2 hours out of it. That being said even with the limited time the battery provides I feel if you consistently use it to clean the pool in 2 or 3 cycles it will have covered everywhere. I would say try starting it at different areas of the pool each time.Pathing: They must have some comical programmers at seaauto because i swear this thing darted across my pool and did a 180 in the same direction like a car chase out of an 80s film. That being said, it does appear to clean in a very "calculated" way unlike the dolphin. I dont know how to describe it. At first I thought there was something wrong with it but then i realized it actually is working an area to clean rather than just running over it like the dolphin. It like, positions itself before every move and works its way around.Customer Service: Without going into too much detail I did need to reach out to customer service and someone immediately picked up the phone. I was shocked. I had some questions and these guys did a skype call / video with me to go over the unit. I have literally never seen customer service this good before. I tried calling over the weekend again when they were closed , i didnt leave a message but the next day someone saw a missed call and called me back like " Hi we saw we missed your call, do you need us?" Amazing.I dont have any info on longevity as I just got the cleaner but I will update this review in time. Otherwise I cant imagine that if i had any problems support would be an issue, especially with the customer service experience I had.

Update: Dead after 7 months. Not all it is cracked up to be
Update: Suddenly, mid cleaning, our Seal died. The right tread just stopped working leaving the cleaner to just rotate in circles in the bottom of the pool. Too expensive for what you get and for the short lifespan.Note, out pool is in a screen enclosure, so this thing only ever is tasked to pick up small debris and an occasional leaf or small flower from one of the plants inside the enclosure, but nothing like what it would be without the screen. No grass clippings, branches, twigs, tree leaves, etc. Just died without much stressful use during its lifespan.Trying to do a warranty claim, but I don't have faith that it will be successful after reading other reviews from people like be that bought into this model early on and are now learning how bad they are.Previous review:This thing will simply not clean in any organized fashion. The documentation shows it mapping out your pool floor and walls and systematically cleaning... Nope. It is all random. Gets some spots zero times, others 10 times. It does go up (most) walls, but misses a lot of wall space... Have steps or a sun-shelf? Good luck. Plan on getting it un-stuck frequently. It will try and try and try to get unstuck, but I saw it even manage to flip over on its back on the sun-shelf, so it will be draining its battery and not making any progress. When set to floor only mode (which is all I can do with this thing), it still just cruises around haphazardly all over the place and still tries to go up the walls a little bit, but at least it doesn't get stuck, I guess...So I still have to manually brush my walls and sun-shelf (I knew I had to do the sun-shelf since it is below the minimum water level per the manual), and clean my waterline. Defeats a lot of the purpose of a pool robot that claims that it cleans walls and waterline. It DOES pick up tiny bits of debris and sand as well as any leaves. We don't have many leaves since we have a screen enclosure around our pool, so only leaves from plants inside, so I don't know how it handles a lot of leaves and junk.Note: Our pool is about 10,000 gallons and free-form in shape. It has a lot of faux-rock waterfalls along all of the back side of the pool, and goes from 3.5' to 6' without any steep slope. It *might* work fine on a rectangular pool with minimal steps, no sun-shelf, and regular tile around all of the pool, but for our situation, which isn't uncommon, I won't even try to use it for anything but cleaning the bottom. That IS where most of the gunk accumulates, but instead of reducing the brushing and vacuuming by 95%, I still have to do 50% of it.
