Superfish Filtration Aqua-Flow 300 540L/H

I have had bad luck with filters so decided to go back to my trusty first brand, this filter is easy to use and has pull off cartridges, the simply take it out and rinse in water removed from the tank, also the bag white filter media needs cleaning too in the same way, I clean mine about once a week and it is yukky!.The spray bar at the top has a slider underneath the adjust the flow if you have delicate fish but it is not over strong on full at this size just right, I also recommend you change the cartridges about every 3 months as they do get past the good stage and also be mindful there is small charcoal pellets inside also , perfect for a beginner this is great my only niggle is that it can slip down the tank but if you wipe the suckers and the tank where it sits this helps a lot.

The media could not be loaded.  Really loud, followed the instructions and tried doing a few things on google but still really loud. Is it meant to be like that? Other than that brilliant!

This filter stopped working after 5 weeks of buying it. No way of contacting the seller.

Had a few issues with ammonia for no obvious reason so decided to change the pump as a last resort to a slightly bigger on than the one I had.This is a good quality product and easy to use.The fish are loving the slightly stronger flow and all is hopefully now settled.

This is the best pump I’ve had for it’s size. It’s powerful and it comes with decent filter media already so you don’t need to go get your own.But it killed one of my fish. This morning I found him squashed between the gravel and the filter (this happens often where the filter will slide down the glass over time because the suction is terrible). I’m really upset by thisAnother thing is the size is great, but you need to clean the filter out every couple of days if you have more than a couple fish in the tank. It’s definitely not a once a week thing with the size of this.GET BETTER SUCTION. For those who have this and are looking for a solution - I’m currently using twine looped around the filter and fixed to the outside of the tank to hold it in place. You really shouldn’t have to though :/

Pump works fairly well and as expected really. But the main gotcha for me was that it broke opening it up for the first time. There is a little tab on the base which clips the filter system in place, if you are very careful when you take for filter off for cleaning, the tab can snap off… as it did for me :(

This is a good filter; however, the sucker cups that hold the filter to the glass are woefully inadequate, they are not fit for purpose. Such a shame, as it is a really good filter.

Replacement filter for tank, fit well.
