Not bad, just a note if you are routing it into 2x4s
Was okay though my router can't even.Ended up working out though, and if you have a router that can do its job right, then this is the thing to get.But be sure to get the right one for your model hinges, and be sure to get the collar guide and router bit that is recommended for this exact part number.(The reason my router had issues had nothing to do with this product, it was a mechanical issue with my router, I.E. the brushes had dead springs so I had to keep slapping it to make it work, causing the guide to move a bit and the angle of the router to be off in a few spots, but it is okay still works well. The guide is a life saver when using this type of hinge...)Side note, if you are routing this into 2x4s, it's going to go right through them and the hinges stick out a little on the back side of the 2x4, just to let you know.

Great template for SOSS 218 hinges
Great template for SOSS 218 hinges. I had to modify the hinge by cutting one side a bit shorter to fit a tight (4 9/16") jamb I was using.

Works - but could be so much better.
Look, this is probably the easiest way to install Soss hinges, but it could be so much better. Two major issues:First off, the wood is cheap - and easily dented/deformed. Why not make these out of rigid plastic with aluminum pins and give users something they can keep for longer than a couple of projects?Second, for heaven’s sakes, WHY isn’t the middle of the hinge cut-out marked??!?! Lining Soss hinges up is hard enough as it is - but it’s made SO much harder without a clear reference to the middle of the hinges.Anyway. I would never recommend Soss for a beginning/average DIYer - the measuring and routing required is way too complicated and too easy to mess up. But, IF you’re confident in your skills and you want/need the look and functionality of Soss, buy this too…but prepare to be irritated about how much better it could be.

don't fit the 218 hinge
The hole that you cut with the jig is too big and the 218 doesn't sit well. I got better results by free-handing a forstner bit in a hand drill.

Awesome
Need a good router, 3/4 OD template guide and a 1/2” bit(long one). Does an amazing job. Hung 6 doors (18 hinges) and it’s still going strong

Need to buy more stuff after buying this.
I read the other reviews of people saying the template was the wrong size. It turns out, you need to buy the porter cable bushing so that this template works. The Amazon listing neglects to mention this, but once the product comes in it says so on it. Thanks SOSS for being shady. Even worse is that even if I wanted to buy it, it is sold out everywhere in my area. Last point, the wood is pine and the guides are screws. This looks like it cost about $2.75 to make.
